I'm hoping the pictures will show up. It wouldn't let me upload them.

I can't see your pictures. Do you need to resize them in order to upload them?

RHS0789, You have to use the Manage Attachments feature to post pictures directly from your computer's Pictures folder. URLs only work if they're posted or saved somewhere on the internet like Photobucket. And photos have to be narrower than 1200 pixels.

Another black and a tan Coach Willis I was watching. I would rather have this brass hardware.

Sorry to be so demanding on my first day. These have the creeds (but the photos dont show the "Coach" over the creed), so hopefully this will be a little more clear. Thank you VERY much. I am very grateful for the help.

Hi everyone! A few days ago, I bought a lot of Coach bags and wallets and Whatve said they looked good (thanks Whateve!) but asked me to post pics when I receive the items. Here's the url to the earlier post and piccs follow:

pics of the backpack:(the creed is extremely faded, even my 12 year old couldn't read all of it.)

Comments: I am surprised they would have made this for factory. The style digits seem squeezed together.

They don't look right to me either, and neither do other clasic bags made in China that have had the zero added to the style number. The pic below is from a different plant so it's not really a fair comparison, but notice the difference.

And I can't believe how beat up that is for a bag that's supposed to be only six years old! The leather on a Janice's Legacy should NOT be that wrinkled, and it looks like someone dragged it behind a truck.

I'm not completely sure it's fake but there's no way I'd bid on it.

Thanks, you confirmed my suspicions. I have 30 year old bags that are in better shape than that one. I am always suspicious when I see that kind of wrinkling as I have seen it on several fakes. I think the dye doesn't go all the way through, either, and that could account for the rough appearance as well.

They both look ok.

We always need a clear readable photo of the creed stamp or patch and the serial number inside the bag to authenticate. You can take a photo of the stamp when you receive the bag and post it here, please be sure to refer back to this post. We don't recommend buying any bag without it unless it's one of the small styles like Swingpacks that may not have a stamp or patch.

Coaches are much too widely faked to authenticate a common style like a Willis without that photo. And that Willis isn't "vintage" which means 20 years or older, the silver hardware wasn't introduced until 1998.

Ok, thank you very much. That makes a lot of sense. When I asked the seller about authenticity, she gave me the serial #: J8C-9927. I will take a picture of the creed when it arrives.

Thanks, please be sure you do. That serial number has been used in both genuine and fake bags.

This is why we always tell members to avoid buying Coaches unless the seller posts a pic of the creed and serial number.

Here's a red flag from a previous listing for the same bag, from the seller's description which was removed in later listings:
"Here is an awesome vintage coach "court bag" Looks very similar to the 9870. The color is "British Tan", be aware that that color changes slightly every year with coach. The hardware works great and is brass in color. Removable strap, inside zip. E-mail with any questions"

"Looks similar to the 9870" implies that it's not stamped 9870, and that the same bag has been sold on both Feb 22nd and Feb 25th. I wonder if the first buyer backed out?

Hi there,

Does anyone happen to know the name of this bag? I purchased it in 2009 from Nordstrom. I tried to look up the style number, and I think it's a Clover Duffle, but I am not entirely sure.

Thanks in advance!

There aren't any red flags but the first one should show a picture of the creed. The others look fine.
