Appreciate your help on this - listed as a slim flap style #9408

Bonanza/Bonanzle item # 10856622
Seller: Marzipanhorizon

Question - have you ever seen a bag with both an X and a bullseye?
Question - was Coach manufacturing these bags in the United States in 2000?

Thanks!

I think the bag is okay but other opinions are welcome.

Regarding the bullseye and the X, yes, I've seen them. The bag was originally sent to the outlets, thus the bullseye. At some point later, perhaps because of being shopworn, returned by customer or another reason, Coach resold the bag to a discounter like TJ Maxx, Nordstroms Rack, Marshall's, etc. When they sell to discounters, they mark it with the X stamp to indicate that it's no longer covered by Coach's warranty nor returnable to a Coach store or outlet.

It's genuine.

Coach made all its fabric bags in China along with a very small number in Turkey starting in 2000, but some classic leather bags were still made in the US and Costa Rica until around 2003. I think this one was called a North-South Slim Shoulder Flap.

Thank you all for your rapid responses. I have learned so much from this thread and always appreciate your help, though I don't always post a specific thank you.

Comments Are these real? they look a awful lot like my coach greer (s8019) burgundy's. She has them in brown and black

So far, the glasses appear to be okay but the markings on the insides of the arms are important, both for authentication purposes as well as for style ID purposes and the seller should show the writing inside the arms.

Very crooked, but we've seen genuine bags with crooked creeds. Without a creed photo I'm not comfortable giving an opinion since that style is widely faked, and the seller should know how important a creed photo is. Please wait for more opinions.

I'm wondering how the seller shopnagain got so many possible Negative and Neutral comments removed by Ebay...

Re shopnagain: That crooked plaque on the bag concerns me as does the seemingly crooked plaque on the wallet in the same listing.

As for the feedback comments that were removed, if you'll notice, they're from sellers and since sellers can't leave contradictory feedback (positive feedback with a negative comment), shopnagain was able to get them removed.

When that many sellers have issues with a buyer, I usually add that buyer to my BBL.

ETA: I've BBL'ed this buyer-seller. It looks like she buys for resale, picks apart her purchases for partials, then flips the item to make more money.

It appears to be an authentic "Slim Satchel". (Seller's pictures are dreadful plus she has no description of the condition). Unfortunately the seller has no measurements so I don't know exactly which size it is.

Ok last one for awhile. I am considering this if I buy an Acorn Sabrina or similar color. If it is real,is this a good price?

The wallet seems good to me.

Re price, we can't quote on "deals," but if you search completed listings for the style number and/or description, you can see what they've been listed and sold for. (ETA: Well, that won't work because there aren't any others of this style.) IMO, it's a fair price.
