If it has been less than 6 weeks since she bought it, she can open a case with ebay and get a refund.

^^^ This! If it's within 45 days of the date of sale, she should file SNAD through ebay. It doesn't matter how inexpensive the bag was; the seller violated ebay policy (and the law) in selling it. And the buyer shouldn't be out a cent.

Classic bags aren't my specialty, but I've reposted the IMG links. (At least I can help with that!)

If these aren't enough, you can post more later. (Use the 4th link down, IMG code)

Wait for Hyacinth but I'll give my comments. First, I don't know when the Bleecker line was introduced but I would guess around 1999 so I suspect that a 1995 date on this bag would be too early. Second, I've never seen the E plant code used for anything other than Italy. Third, I'm not comfortable with the font.

Not really sure where to post this... It's just bothersome! My mom really wants this particular bag and Cole so I came across this. The exact same bag and photos in two totally different ads/sellers.

The only thing you personally can do is refuse to buy from either seller, bathoutlet or debo55debo55 until it's determined who stole whose pictures, since the only person who can report photo theft is the original owner of the photos. BeenBurned can probably figure that out.

Here are the working links to both listings

Seller debo55debo55:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/398-COACH-A...951?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item1c306f707f

Seller bathoutlet --<<<< Seller is the picture thief
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NWOT-Coach-...965?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item3ccf31a10d

In this case, it's fairly easy to determine who owns the pictures by looking at the completed listings. As you can see in the completed, debo55debo55's earliest listing for this item ended Feb-11 and she has listed it 4 times so far.

OTOH, this is the first time bathoutlet has listed it and if you look at her other current and completed listings, you'll see that most of her pictures have a wide variety of backgrounds and photographing styles, indicating that she probably stole her other pictures from other sellers too.

I don't recommend buying from a seller who doesn't show her own actual pictures. Not only is it unethical to infringe on another seller's intellectual property, but there's no telling what you'll receive if you win the item.

I don't recommend bathoutlet.

ETA: As further proof of the ownership of the pictures, here's a listing from December from debo55debo55. Although several of the pictures are no longer viewable, there is one that shows the same paneled door in the background.

WHOOPS PICS DIDN'T WORK. I'LL REPOST LATER...

I don't believe it's genuine, for the reasons Whateve already gave - wrong year code for a Bleecker, the line was introduced in the 1999 Preview catalog and not in 1995, and definitely incorrect fonts for both the creed wording and the serial number. And the Italy plant code "E" was not used for other plants especially during either time period, 1995 or 1999 since the Italy plant was running all during those periods making a number of different styles for Coach.

We've seen fake Bleeckers before, they're very well faked except for minor details in some stitching areas and for the creed.

I hope you can either get your money back or return it to whoever may have consigned it with you.

#1 appears to be an authentic Willis from 1997.

#2 appears to be an authentic Willis from 2001. (Both 1 & 2 from the same seller). BUT, just because I'm nit-picky, I would ask the seller for the actual length of the straps from end to end on both bags. Seller has strap drop as 25 Inches, which sounds about right...yet has in the description that the strap is 25 Inches Long, which wouldn't be right. Maybe a simple mistake in the description, but the Willis strap is approximately 48 Inches Long.

#3 appears to be an authentic Court Bag from 1999.

Good Sunday Morning! When you have a moment please authenticate + I have some questions:

1) 1999 Bleecker Tote #6121 (?) - Not sure of accurate name for this bag
Seller: in my possession
Link: http://s1249.beta.photobucket.com/u...g 9790 Taupe or Tabac/1999 Bleecker Tote 6121

2 NYC Saddlery Bag 9535 - Red
Seller: in my possession
Link: http://s1249.beta.photobucket.com/user/elizabethm0502/library/NYC Saddlery Bag 9535 Red
Comments: Did they also make this bag in burgandy? I picked up the same bag which I thought was dark brown; but after cleaning it up I swear it's burgandy. Wondered if it came in that color or if it was possibly re-dyed.

3) 1996 Monterey Zip - BT trimmed in Dr Brown
Seller: in my possession
Link: http://s1249.beta.photobucket.com/user/elizabethm0502/library/1996 Monterey Zip 6147
Comments: The last Monterey Zip I had came from Turkey and the creed referred to the trim as being bridle leather. This bag is much softer and does not make that reference. Problem?

4) Vtg City Bag - Taupe or Tabac ??
Seller: in my possession
Link: http://s1249.beta.photobucket.com/user/elizabethm0502/library/City Bag 9790 Taupe or Tabac
Comments: Not sure of this color. I'm leaning towards Tabac - your thoughts?

5) NYC Convertible Clutch - Burgandy
Seller: in my possession
Link: http://s1249.beta.photobucket.com/u...y/NYC Convertible Clutch Burgandy Short Strap
Comments: Check out the shorter shoulder strap? The color is a perfect match; but I have a later convertible clutch with a 2 piece trigger snap strap adjustable with a belt buckle. Wondering if the earlier bags had this type of strap or is this possibly a replacement?

Thanks so much for your time!

1- genuine Canvas Blecker Satchel

2- probably, I don't have all the old catalogs showing all the various colors available in different years and seasons.

3- Probably Fake -Monterey Flap. I'm really concerned about the April 1996 date code. I've seen other "Montereys" with apparently invalid production codes that otherwise seemed to have all other details correct. The Monterey line wasn't introduced until late 1999 and I doubt very much if that one is genuine. Even allowing for the possibility of a Sample bag there's just too much of a time gap between what the creed claims and what Coach's catalog says.

4- Genuine, but it's impossible to know the exact year, or to even tell the difference among all the various Tan and Brown shades Coach used back then. The catalog colors are almost never the same shade as a bag looks in real life, and I don't have a complete list of years and colors. Even what Coach has called British Tan has changed over the years, and tan shades tend to darken over time.

5- The Convertible Clutch was also available from Coach with a 36-inch strap. If yours is shorter that that it's either been repaired or replaced. I'm not sure if the 36-inch strap was adjustable or not but I doubt it. On early bags through the mid- to late-80s the longer 44-inch strap wasn't adjustable either. The removeable one you mentioned may have been a later replacement.
