The ones you are seeing are the liquid gloss version. Now that I think about it, I'm not sure this was called a mini groovy. I think it was called the button bag. It was from 2010, I think. It is style #44089. Sorry for the confusion.

Button Bag looks to be the correct name. Thank you!

Also it looks like the style number is 44038.
Based on this bag and the coach price tag

Again thank you very much!

Hi ladies! I purchased this checkbook holder secondhand (believing it was real), placed it on ebay and now the buyer is claiming it is a fake. Can you please authenticate this for me in case I need to refund the seller? Thank you!

1- possibly

2- need measurements and a photo of one of the sides of the bag

I ended up buying these two bags and have some additional pictures along with measurements. Both bags, upon examination, appear to be exactly the same except the creed patch. They are 7.5" tall, 11.5" wide at base (they do slightly taper at the top), and 4" deep. After examining threads on here, I believe they are Swagger bags, style 9820. I would appreciate any further examination of the pictures and further comments on authenticity. I do realize there is no guarantee, especially without having the bags in hand, but what I am wondering about most is if the British Tan one could be fake with its lack of a serial number of any kind.

Both bags have one sided hangtags, that also look identical. Thank you for your time.

I don't know where else to post this. I think there is something funny going on here. This seller claims he bought this on ebay a week ago. If you look at his completed bid items and feedback, you can find a purse that looks like it should have been the one he bought on ebay a week ago, but his pictures don't look like the same bag. So what is the bag he is selling? I sent him a message asking if the creed number was readable.

Some early bags didn't have serial numbers, although the Swagger seems like too late a style to not have a number, unless some of our assumptions about the dating of Coach serial numbers are wrong. Or maybe there was an earlier Swagger, or it could have just been a production mistake. There's nothing about either bag that would make me think they're not genuine.

Understand that everything I've put together on serial numbers is based only on what I've seen in early bags, and without any confirmation at all from Coach since they've never released any information or history about those production details. It's almost impossible to put confirmed dates on older bags so everything is speculation and guesswork.

Ok, thank you again for your time. They were a good price, so I am going to clean them up. Appreciate the help :smile1:

The bag in the first listing isn't a Ritchie bag or a style 9937, and I doubt if a Ritchie Bag would have a recent price tag from the Factory Store. The bag in the second listing IS a Ritchie bag.

I'm not going to try and figure out what's going on. The second listing seems to be for a genuine bag - whatever happened in the first transaction is between the buyer and seller at this point.

Thank you! I guess it will remain a mystery!
