Item: New Coach Madison Caroline Rust Leather Bag
Listing number: 121038711495
Seller: randiesstuff

Comments: I see that this seller's listings have been questioned as far as authenticity before. The have this bag and few other Coach bags that are questionable. The style name, number, color, etc...do not match the bag pictured, but I wanted to confirm here whether this is authentic or not. TIA :smile1:

The style number shown on the creed is for a signature Hailey, a completely different style.

This other listing for the seller has no number on the creed: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NWOT-COACH-...455?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item19d7721587
This one has a sample creed: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-COACH-S...866?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item1c2e782852
This style in this color combination hasn't been released yet.

The style number on this one is wrong too: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Brown-C...134?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item1c2e65d9de

This listing that ended has no style number: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-COACH-M...=&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

While it seems like these might not be authentic, I think it is possible that this seller has access to samples which could be absolutely authentic. It is impossible to tell. I myself own a Coach purse that has a mismatched creed that we believe is authentic.

I would suggest not buying anything from this seller.

What is the style number? Does it say 16942 or 15942?

It is really difficult to read the number on the photo provided. We couldn't really tell if it was a 5 or a 6. When you get it, please check the number. The part we are concerned with is after the dash. It should be 15942.

Hi, I'm sure it says 15942 but ill let you know for sure when I get it...thanks for your help its much appreciated :)

I'm not sure whether this listing has too few pictures to be authenticated but if someone would be able to help I'd appreciate it!

The seller seems very reliable and has sold loads of designer shoes so I guess these should be authentic?

Thank you!

The seller does NOT seem reliable to me. Check their Feedback, they have more than 40 Negatives just in the last 12 months for complaints about shipping, selling items that weren't even available, items Not As Described, poor service, no response from the seller, and the condition of the merchandise. Any time a large volume seller has a Feedback rating below 99, that means that too many buyers are unhappy with that seller.

Several years ago, Ebay had a policy that only lasted for a short time, but it said that any seller with a Feedback rating they considered too low (I don't remember the exact percentage but I'm sure that this seller's number would have been below the minimum at that time) would be penalized in some way. Now it seems that sellers with low ratings - and I consider 98.5 percent as "low" - are called "top-rated". I strongly disagree with Ebay's "rating".

In the retail sales courses I've taken, we were usually told that only about ten percent of unhappy customers will actually take the time to complain about a product or a seller. The percentage is probably higher at Ebay because complaining is easier but I'm still very sure that there are many more unhappy customers than the Feedback numbers actually show.

If you want to see more of the seller's record, check their entire Feedback history at

Be patient, it takes a LONG time for this seller's history of Negatives and Neutrals to load. It actually Timed Out before the entire history could load. From what I'm reading I personally would NOT buy from this seller especially if the item is being shipped outside the US.

As for the boots, the few photos posted look like stock photos and it's impossible to authenticate anything from the photos. There's also no way to see the condition of the boots.

I commented on the seller's listings here: http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/authenticate-this-coach-763164-300.html#post23470472

I don't believe this seller's listings are authentic and I'd never take a chance on buying one of them.

ETA: Here's another listing that I question. Although the creed looks "good" as far as stitching and font go, I don't think the bag is authentic.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-COACH-M...547?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item1c2e782ee3

The "COACH" name under the horse and carriage plaque is black. On most (if not all) other bags I recall seeing, the color of the background enamel matches the color of the bag.

For example, here are plaques from other colors of the identical style.

I'm seeing a problem with another of her listings too - my apologies if anyone's mentioned this one already:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Brown-C...134?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item1c2e65d9de
listing 121037511134

Black background on the Coach part of the Carriage emblem, bag is brown

Style number 12345 shouldn't have been out until mid-2008 according to the number sequence, this one's dated November 2007

The add-on "metal" Carriage logo is a BIG problem. The earliest genuine one I can find is on style # 12927 Amanda Satin Mini Satchel and the creed dates on all of those are July 2008 at the earliest. As soon as that was introduced the emblems became standard on most of the styles. So how does a bag with a style number sequence AND 2-piece Carriage emblem with a production date of November 2007 fit when both are 6-8 months too early???

I agree, there are WAAAAAAAAY too many questions about a lot of the randiesstuff listings. Some may be genuine but too many have problems that can't be explained away as Sample shortcuts or plant errors. I don't think we can comfortably authenticate ANY of her items - at least I can't.

In this case, you speak for me too.

I can't authenticate nor would I recommend randiesstuff listings.

Comments: I took a closer look at the listing (was too quick to bid and was hoping I'd be out bid since I read closer, well I ended up winning) and see that the seller doesn't know for sure if the bag is authentic. I have not paid yet and wanted to get your advice first. I think it's real but I'll rely on you guys!
