CAN SOMEONE TELL ME IF THIS COACH POPPY SPOTLIGHT SEQUIN BAG IS REAL???!!!!!
i want to buy a spotlight but coach doesnt carry them anymore and i cant find them anywhere. my only option is ebay. but i dont want to get ripped off.

This bag is authentic. The creed is a metallic gunmetal and the bag is perfectly fine. I used to own all the spotlights and am very familiar with them.

Just when I want to throw my hands up in disgust and swear off of ebay forever, a gem comes in the mail. Please tell me this Legacy Small Flap bag is authentic! Did Coach ever call this a Trail Bag? I would guess that this color is called aqua but it looks more of a mint green to me.

It's genuine.

Maybe a few sellers have mistakenly called it a Trail Bag but the real Trail Bag style 9955 is shown below. The color is probably Aqua and was actually a Spring 1997 color.

The second photo is the Trail Bag from the Spring 1995 catalog.

Thanks! My spidey sense said it was real but after my recent experience, I wanted to make sure. I guess more than a few sellers misread the style number and that is why I see so many Legacy small flap bags called trail bags.

This little lady is going to be treated to a nice, warm bath.

Some bags give off such an aura of quality that you know without a doubt they are genuine. I have a navy spectator city bag like that. The difference between it and the fake is like night and day. Even if they had gotten all the details correct on the fake, the leather quality isn't there.

It looks like a Brighton Bag style 9895 from 1991-92, but neither of the catalogs I found mention an open inside pocket along with the zipped one. That might have been a temporary addition or maybe the catalog description just wasn't complete.

BTW< PLEASE disregard the "fake" comment made by another poster, there's nothing wrong with it other than an "extra" pocket:

Thank you so much, Hyacinth.

" You have helped me and countless others immeasurably with a service that you provide for free." (Exactly! What WHATEVE said.)

:D

Hi y'all! Up for authentication is a red willis. :) Please help.

Seller:jennysensei
Item Number:150945400509

Thank you!

It looks ok, but keep in mind that those pen marks are going to be difficult if not impossible to get out.

It's not vintage either since it was just made in 1997. Also the seller is being deceptive by using Bonnie Cashin's name in the listing. The Willis has NO connection with Bonnie Cashin and wasn't even made until 1993 which is almost 20 years after Cashin left Coach. One of my biggest pet peeves is misrepresenting newer styles as "Cashin" or "Cashin-era" when they're not. It's either lack of research or just plain lies on the part of the seller and there's no excuse for it.

JMO, but I like to start the day off with a good rant. ;)

It's a gorgeous color too. You don't find many in that color and most of the older bags in light colors are basket cases. Nice find!

I found this purse on goodwills website and I'm trying to figure out if it's authentic.

No, it's fake. Don't waste your money. Just for starters the serial number is a complete fake and a real Coach number would never start with "JG..." And the C pattern isn't even close to being centered.

That style is one of the most counterfeited Coaches ever. I don't recommend buying them online from anyone without a very careful authentication.
