Approx Dimensions: 11x10x4.5
Comments: Serial # is all but worn off. Best I can see it reads J8D-9525. The interior suede patch which covers the brass foot attachment is either missing or possibly this not authentic. Also concerned about the grommets on the strap. At first I thought someone attached the wrong shoulder strap (silver vs. brass); but the interior of the grommet still has some brass-tone. Possibly someone cleaned the metal & took off the finish???? Compared to my other stewardess, the dimensions are the same and the "feel" is exactly the same (thick, supple & heavy)

1- some fakes are very hard to detect and this may be one of them. The best thing is to compare it to the one you own that you're sure is real, and to compare details like the construction and details of the rest of the hardware like the buckle and turnlock, and the placing and design of rivets and grommets. The creed stamp isn't readable but that serial number prefix J8D- can go either way, and the stamp itself is much lower on the pocket than what I've seen in known genuine bags. I just can't give you an answer on that one, sorry.

2- this one also worries me because of the plant code, which indicates Italy but the creed says it was made in the US. This one would also have to be considered questionable, sorry.

The last three all look ok.

Good Call on the Stewardess! Comparing this to one I have from NYC & Costa Rica, dimensions are spot on including the small patch pocket; stitching is perfect & hardware (except grommets in strap) are heavy brass. BUT.....that creed is stamped almost 2" down and my other 2 are only about 1/4-1/2" from the zipper. To the scrap heap she goes :( along with the brown city bag (whose strap had been previously repaired..and not very well at that).

But THANKS for the good news on the other 3.... you're the BEST :ty:

the creed gives me no style # so I can't research to I.D. and/or authenticate this bag. I thought at a glance it was a Watson, but the flap goes to the bottom of the front unlike the Watson. So, is this a real style, and if so, what could she be?
Dimensions are: 7" at widest, about 6" at the highest, and about 2.5" D. Strap drop about 22.5" . Thanks so much!!

If there's a pocket right under the flap it's a Mini Bag, 9825 from the late 1980s.
