That one raises a question or two.

The first digit wasn't erased, the stamp mechanism was just set to a blank space. What worries me is the A plant code, since A was the original NYC location and was closed as a production plant and converted to offices by the time this bag was supposed to have been made, 1995. Coach kept a very small production area running at that location but it was for making sample and pilot bags. Since the Station Bags had already been in production for at least ten years there wouldn't have been any need to make a Pilot version.

This is the second or third Station Bag we've seen with that plant code but it's hard to say if that's a positive thing or not. The rest of the bag looks ok though. (The color is described as Burnt Orange but I wonder if it's just a faded Red.)

It's probably genuine but I can't be 100 percent sure.

Wow, I had no idea Coach stamp's included a "blank." I saw the stamp marks above and below the blank area and it just looked odd to me. . . One more thing to learn! I wondered about the color too as I hadn't seen "burnt orange" in older bags. As you said, it may have been red that faded. It's an interesting bag with some little quirks! LOL! Thank you for looking at it Hyacinth and for showing me more new unexpected things i need to learn about Coach! :-)

Hyacinth,
I managed to get a better picture of the creed. (Actually my daughter did.)
I'm reposting it and the other pictures.

If you need anything else, please let me know.

Item: Black Canvas/Brown Leather Twill Tote 6134 (USA, 1999)
Seller: Savers $8 (after coupon)

Comments: The creed is very hard to read but the serial number appears to be G3C-6134. I've found similar totes on ebay, like the one at the link below - NMA - but cannot find a name for this bag. Please give an opinion on authenticity and any other information you may have on this bag. Thanks in advance for your help!

I don't know the exact name but it's from the Greenwich Twill line from 1999. If you search the main Coach forum for "Greenwich" there should be a few posts from the last 2 years that mention the line. I've never found the exact name for style 6134.

Hello,
I have what I think is a mini Hamptons bag, but it is white patent leather. Were they ever made in that material? The code seems authentic No A040-6731.
I'll post photos if you'd like, but currently, I just can't get past the patent leather...
