It looks like a genuine Basic Bag, style 9455, possibly late 70s or early 80s. But it was made after the Bonnie Cashin era.

AWFUL fake. Fake tacky printed lining and Coach name woven into strap, neither of which was ever done or made by Coach. No serial number or creed patch anywhere that I can see. Fake hardware and hangtag, fake style and pattern. If you're trying to prove it's AUTHENTIC you've got a long ride in front of you, it's a cheap piece of junk.

Comments: I am not interested in actually purchasing this. I wanted to see if you guys knew anything about this seller. Is it really coach or someone using their name? I noticed that all the pictures are stock photos and they have over 100 negative feedback in just a short time with some of it saying it is fake. I also know that most of those bags do not have a creed photo. I looked through the shopping threads and couldn't find anyone that had commented about this. I believe this is a seller sponsored/ promoted by ebay too. Thanks!

That's a valid site owned by Coach and hosted by Ebay. Of course all the photos are stock photos. And Coach's photos never show creed patches.

Most of the Negatives are because Coach allows buyers to think their order is being shipped even if the item is out of stock and the order cancelled. There are also a ton of returns because Coach's descriptions are incomplete or measurements are wrong. Anyone buying from the Factory sites had better check Ebay for more descriptions and photos of the item they're considering. And of course there are the buyers who can't even be bothered to read measurements or descriptions - plenty of regular Ebay sellers know all about THOSE bidders.

As for the people claiming their purchases are fake - all I'm going to say is that there's an absolutely AMAZING bunch of idiots buying on Ebay who wouldn't know a real Coach if it flew up their pie-holes. The nitwits who don't know enough about genuine Coach and are so clueless and so misinformed that they think Coach's own site is selling fakes (must be all those missing YKK zippers. IDIOTS.) are one of the big reasons that I'll never sell on Ebay, and I sympathize with the honest sellers who do and who have to deal with those bozos.

And just to clarify, the Coachfactory ID is the ONLY legitimate Coach-owned store on Ebay

VERY fake - incredibly sloppy stitching, an invalid serial number GAD-4437 where the first half is all letters and no numbers which means no valid year code, and a fake style number 4437 that belongs only to a Soho Striped Twill Hobo.

Interesting that the crooks are actually trying to copy the caviar pebbled leather from the Madison line. Not a very good fake, but the first attempted Madison fake I've seen.

Please report. I'm posting a few pics of the fake "Madison".
