Hamptons Leather Business Carryall.

And as always, if we give it a name or identity, it's genuine. Fakes don't deserve names.

Thank you for the authentications. And I appreciate your clarification that when you verify the names, you are also confirming the bags are authentic. I sort of figured that was the case, but since I'm new here, I appreciate the verification! Makes sense to me that fakes deserve nothing.

I really appreciate what you folks do!

Thank you hyacinth. I did ask them to post a creed picture before I even thought about bidding! I am learning so much here.

I will admit though that i bid on something last night that had no picture. I am sure hoping i dont get burned! I have been looking for months and months and now will be waiting to see when I get it and hoping you all think it is real!

Thank you!

Truthfully, I'm NEVER going to be happy with any J4D- serial I see until one comes along that's either perfect or that has some other corroborating (sp?) evidence like a valid outlet stamp.

I'm assuming there are four buckle holes on each side of the strap?

The creed and pocket seem ok. The stitching on the bottom is a bit wobbly, and there are a few differences between yours and my 1996 version from the D plant, like small details in the buckle and the top zipper. All I can say is that there don't seem to be any obvious problems but there are a few details that bother me and I can't be 100 percent sure it's ok.

You don't have to stop looking for that style, just avoid the ones with serials or prefixes like J4D- or J8Y- that have been found in an unusually large number of fakes. If a number or prefix is mentioned in the Fakes List, avoid those bags no matter how good the pictures look.

Both look fine.

Hi I purchased these both recently, one from the bay and one at a thrift shop.

I believe this is a city bag

Creed

Thrift store bag, the creed was really difficult, I only have my phone and the pocket doesn't seem to come out of the bag

It is made in the United States and I think the numbers are C6C 6939(?) very difficult to read, the bag was at bathed and conditioned

Thank you!!!!
