hello,
I think this is a fake because of the format of the serial number, but I wanted confirmation before I contact the seller.

Item: brown companion bag
Listing number:
Seller:Ms2SweetVintage
Link:http://www.etsy.com/listing/8831875...n=0&ga_max=0&ga_page=5&ga_search_type=vintage
Comments:

thanks again!

The bag looks fine! We have seen that "error" on quite a few bags over the years. A "number" was stamped instead of the hyphen. Human beings did the work and mistakes were made.

:smile1:

Your link isn't working correctly right now, and there's no listing number in your post. Can you post the auction number? Seller has several Bridgets for sale.

http://www.ebay.com/sch/wec59/m.html?_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

The seller shouldn't be using Coach's copyrighted photos in her listings as Gallery photos, BTW. It's obvious that the bags in the Gallery pics are NOT the same as the used bags in the photos.

Listing # is 320910768146, sorry!

Do you think that $325 is a reasonable price? I'm in <3 with this bag. :D

hmmm... glad I asked!!! I'm going to get "the only thing consistent about Coach is their inconsistency", on a sticky somewhere!!! Mind you, I also think the human part of Coach, or the mistakes, are part of the charm especially in the older purses.
thanks again, have a great day.

The bag looks genuine.

As for pricing, if you read the Posting rules listed in post number 1 of this thread, we're really not supposed to discuss price. What you might want to do is search Ebay's listings for both Current and Completed auctions for this style number and see what others sold for.

It's a light color, and the Legacy leathers soiled and absorbed skin oils easily. It seems like there are noticeable areas of darkening and discoloration in the photos, please examine them very closely before you decide. I don't think you can clean light colored Legacy leathers well, if at all.

Thanks! It feels good to be back!

You're welcome! I can definitely help when it comes to the newer bags.

Thanks, that would be a HUGE help! Your expertise is deeply appreciated! :yahoo:

That incosistency is mentioned in the Salearea Guide on Coach serial numbers too:
