Comments: The font of the C's and the little hang tag seem off.

They're all "off" and the colors are completely wrong as well as the fonts on the stars and the hangtag. That style should look like this, please report - and report this other fake too:

Can someone help me authenticate this purse? I heard that if a Coach bag doesn't have the signature C on the outside it will have on the inside, is that true? If this purse is real how much is it worth it? Thanks

http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/clo/3050972010.html

No, that's not true at all. Wherever you're finding that nonsense and misinformation, stop reading it or paying attention to it.

The bag looks genuine. And we don't give values or prices here, see the first post in this thread. Something is worth only what someone else is willing to pay for it.

This one really looks fake. The serial number font is wrong, the top zipper pull is wrong, the zipper itself is torn loose, the zipper is discolored with some kind of dye or shoe polish - see how shiny and unnatural the color all over the bag itself looks? - this bag would still be a mess even if it was genuine and I DON'T think it is.

H4B- is a legitimate serial prefix but it also has been used in thousands of fakes, that's mentioned in my Fakes List. I do NOT recommend buying this bag.

Thank you, Hyacinth. I'll print out that list now - I do remember katev mentioning a few times that it has helped her out while thrifting. I could use that help too since all of the thrift stores in the area have a no return policy..

Coach Gathered Wallet/Black

Item # 380437260906
Seller tvqh4nguoi

I did search here on the forum to try and find out about these wallets that (Ive read), are being faked. I could not find any post that actually talked about how to tell, if one of these wallets are fake...
TY in advance

That's because even with a full set of photos like this, it's almost impossible to tell if a wallet is genuine. And there are no red flags that warn about what to watch for when the fakes are well copied.

All we can do is look at the seller history - based on that it seems the wallet is very likely to be genuine.

This is something I've never seen before, but I don't have anywhere near the level of knowledge of the folks here. Please assist - is this a design by Coach at all? If so, I can ask for further photos for authentication. If there's no chance it's authentic, I won't waste your time or mine.
Thank you!!

Coach has done quite a few similar styles with the same kinds of details. I don't see any problems with it.

Hyacinth, thank you. I was able to find it in a few spots online -- looks like it was sold at Nordstrom within the last few years. Definitely not what i was looking for, so I'm giving it a pass.

If anyone else follows the link and likes it, go for it. :-)

Hi, this bag is for sale on a group page on facebook. I'm convinced that it's fake from the stamped hardware, ling, handle attachment and the pathetic creed (which has an improper coded serial number and the wrong C on the logo at the top.). I've never seen the center print before. I called my friend at Coach and he tells me that creed does not register to any bag. The lady is screaming, raging, 100% sure that it's authentic. Second opinions please?

I agree with noshoepolish. It's absolutely FAKE.

The sleazy black lining was never used by Coach.

The creed wording is run together and I think the word DETAIL is spelled DETAL.

The style number would never be included on the same line as the creed wording.
