Comment: The creed photo is hard to make out clearly.

1 - Legacy Small Crescent from 2002
2- Impossible to authenticate without a clear photo of the creed and serial number
3- Not a style I'm familiar with. Please wait for more opinions
4- seems ok
#3 and #4 - look good.

Welcome to tPF. Please wait for opinions on the bag in question.

I'll comment that the seller, simplycara has a current listing for a fake and she sold a fake Dooney:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/DOONEY-BOUR...510?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item35bae019b6

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAP...1iVWrwccN8NhiSJO4qcuU%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

Personally, I wouldn't feel comfortable recommending a seller who doesn't know or research the items she sells.

In the future, please refer to the first post of the thread for the required/requested posting format. It's helpful in searches for seller IDs and items.

Thanks allot BB but a have already bought the bag. I just want to know if i should be asking for my money back Thanks
I understand that you're asking about the Coach bag and unfortunately, that bag isn't one I'm familiar with. Please wait for other opinions on that listing.

My comments were only regarding the integrity of a seller who mixes authentic and fakes, which simplycara does.

New here and I hope I did this right, wasn't sure if I should post the acutal photos or just a link to photobucket?

Can you please authenticate this:

Item: Large Purple Gathered Sophia 15947

Welcome to tpf. The bag in the pictures looks good but other opinions are welcome.

Please see post #1 of the thread for the requested posting format. It's helpful to know where bags are listed, seller IDs, etc. It's also helpful in searches when the format is used.

Item: Vintage Coach Purse Shoulder Bag
Item No. : 120884889474
Seller: Mattson Co. SD's Estate Liquidator
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/120884889474?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1431.l2649

Comments: I believe to be authentic, needs a dye job. I also would love to know the year and style. You guys rock :graucho:

It's the "Crescent" bag, style 9235. It's one of the older Coach styles but I'm not sure exactly when it was introduced. I have seen them with the old black & white metal Coach label, which would date them to the 1970's.

The one in the auction could have been made any time from the later 70's to mid to late 80's.
:smile1:

Thank you very much. No, I am not the seller, I would just like to buy one of these bags. I will contact the seller and ask her for more detailed photos.
When you have the additional pictures, please post them. Also, multi-quote the original listings so we don't have to go back to search for the posts.

The seller refused to send me more picutres saying the bags are out of stock even if all the listings are active with in sotck written in the auction. For me it is enough to know that I won´t buy from her.

Thank you again.

You're welcome!

You may want to check back to see if any other members have info on that bag.

Hi, I have two authenticity checks needed for items found on eBay please; both are from the same seller.

1. Coach Optic Signature C Ladybug Bug Rhinestone hobo Lilac 5065 RARE

http://www.ebay.com/itm/220987633485?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

2. Coach Optic Signature C Ladybug Bug Rhinestone Wristlet clutch Lilac RARE

http://www.ebay.com/itm/320877759635?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649
They're probably both okay but none of the seller's listings show enough pictures to prove authenticity (even though there aren't any red flags).

In the future, please refer to post #1 for the posting format as it's helpful in future searches for IDs and items.
