Thank you for your time and knowledge :)
You're welcome.
Wow, the way the sales person talked about the hardware linked to Bonnie Cashin was misleading : ( Also, you would think she would know if something about a bag that was sold in the past 5 years... Also want to ask... Coach doesn't name a holiday item??

So glad I found you guys, thank you so much!!
If you read here long enough, you'll learn that Coach employees are often the last people to go to with questions about authenticity or history.

Sales associate positions in retail have a high turnover rate and Coach is no different. Unless an item is current and in their store at the time, they don't know whether it's a legit style or not. And for items like some wallets, wristlets, swingpacks, etc. that don't have creeds, they SAs don't have a serial number/style number to look up what the item looks like and its name.

As for naming items, they do name them; we just don't know the "official" name.

If the Coach employees were talking about the Turnlock, that was a Cashin Signature that's been used on a lot of Coach styles in the almost 40 years since she left Coach. So while that may be a Cashin connection it's kind of tenuous by now.

And of course Coach names holiday items. But without seeing the tag with the name it's kind of hard to know what the name is. There are probably close to 30,000 style numbers with names in Coach's history - my memory is good but it's not THAT good. ;)

ITEM: COACH CITY BAG

Is it authentic and is it a good deal? :) Thanks!

Sorry, it's impossible to tell if it's genuine without a clear readable photo of the creed stamp and serial number. If you can get the seller to post or send one we can take another look. (By "readable" I mean we have to actually be able to read all the words and see the spelling and punctuation, using the Macro camera setting usually helps).

Amazed at the knowledge ... Thank you!
