Hi thanks for replying! I know my photo's aren't the clearest, bad lighting. It's width is 9 and a half inches by 6 and a half-ish

There are no outside pockets. There are also no zippered pockets inside except that flap which separates two compartments (on the flap is the coach stamp). The leather is thick and the seams are straight. It looks well made. There's the brass fob with the coach logo on that as well.

Ill add a few more photos...

Is there any way someone might measure the length as 11 inches? Coach never explains exactly how they measure bags and the only one I can find that fits the details you're showing is a Mitchell Zip, style 9938 from 1993. Would it hit 11 inches if it was measured across the widest part? The details all look genuine.

The bag in question is not on an auction site: My question is, is it really a Coach briefcase?

It's chocolate brown. Came from a family member whose husband used it before his death.

It was produced I believe in November 1995 per Creed embossed label, No. K5S-0532.

Item Name (if you know it): Briefcase with turnkey flap closure

Brown leather cowhide.

Old but hardware looks nickel. Zippers are YKK.

Thank you. :smile1:

We need to see photos of the creed stamp and serial number. Maybe if Noshoepolish comes by she can tell you what other areas we need to see.

I'm surprised that a brown briefcase from late 1995 for early 1996 would already have nickel hardware, that seems a bit early. We really need more photos.

You should be able to pull it down enough to get a photo of the creed. I need to see that to authenticate. Can you add some more photos of the back, sides and interior?

Do you have the strap? That is very important for this bag. Most buyers want the strap. Without the strap you may not get as much.

It is a Coach Organizer Briefcase.

If you list it after I can see the rest of the photos, make sure you say whether it is smokefree or not.

Put the hardware against a sheet of paper, try looking at it outside. It is probably brass.
