Scribble Stitch Pocket Flap from 2004. The color is Hibiscus and I have its twin - one of my absolute favorite bags. :smile1:
Not a legacy of any type, correct? "Scribble Stitch Pocket Flap" is the entire name? Just to be sure, I am giving up and listing it on Ebay. I am sad, but I have had it awhile and never used it for fear of ruining it...what is the point of that?

In a panic - bought this "100% authentic" Court bag online and when it arrived, it seems to be a fake! The serial number is S3T-5130. If I'm not mistaken, the serial number for Court is 9870 and 5130 is for the Station, right? The leather seems genuine, but the strap isn't adjustable like other Courts I have seen.

Sorry if I seem stupid, but I am new to all of this - I never dreamed that someone would fake a vintage Coach! Here are pictures:

The leather feels like my other vintage Coach bags but the errant serial number makes me worry that this one is fake - or even some kind of "Franken-bag" made of peices of old Coach bags!

Thanks in advance.

There are more fake classic and even vintage Coaches than most buyers could possibly imagine (probably 5 to 10 percent of the pre-2000 Coach bags on Ebay are possible or definite fakes, and the percentage goes even higher when the bags are from estate sales, garage sales, etc), and most times the only red flags are problems with the creed stamps and serial numbers. It's very important to have someone look at them who is familiar with those bags and especially those details.

Many of the fakes used identical hardware and high-quality leathers, especially the fakes from Korea. And most aren't patched together from old bags, they were specifically made as fakes. There are some very good Guides at Salearea's Coach Guides page at Ebay, read them and save the links and you'll have a very good start at a reference library. Save either my Fakes list posted here at tPF or Daria48's list at Ebay too, they're similar and accurate.

No, not any kind of Legacy bag, just unusual and sometimes hard to find especially in good condition. They were Limited Edition bags and originally sold for $398 in Spring of 2005. They're tougher than they look but the white fabric doesn't make it a practical everyday bag. A light spray with a good fabric protector can help.

Thank you so much!!

Hello there.
Is this bag authentic? Also, do you know any about this one? because I haven't seen this style before. Thanks so much!

Item:COACH PETAL HAMILTON LEATHER SATCHEL 13091

Personally, I don't feel comfortable recommending galindas-boutique. The seller has quantities and lots that raise red flags in my mind. And in fact, this listing indicates that the seller has 4 of the identical 4-year old bags, all NWT.

These two "wholesale" lot listings show identical pictures for different items so who knows what the buyer will receive.

Other lot listings are also for highly faked VS items:

This fob came with a Coach stuffed JRT dog. It was just hooked on, and I realize it is not an part of the dog, but I am hoping it's a legit fob and not a fake. It is in sad shape, but if it's real I plan on taking it to a jeweler and just having the cloisonne enamel fixed and seeing if they can polish it up a bit. If it is *not* legit I'll not waste my time and money - and I'll have to keep looking for this fob.

I only have a stock photo to compare mine to, so I have questions.

1. The stock photo looks like the chain part is 2 oval links attached to the big ring with a round link. I realize that could just be a prototype shot for a catalog, or that the chain on this one has been changed or damaged. Mine has 3 oval links, and is attached to the dog with a round link. What's it supposed to be?

2. There is no silver Coach tag, either in the stock photo or on my dog. Assuming that is normal, since this is an older item and my leather JRT didn't have the silver tag either.

3. The missing enamel parts on mine are the front leg (which I know should be white), but also the tail area, the top of the head. I can't tell from the photo if these should be black or brown. If you have this fob, could you please look at yours? I'm guessing brown based on the color pattern of my leather fob and the small dog on the JRT multi-pet. They are all brown spots except for the black ear.

4. The spot under his collar / above his coat, and the bridge of his nose is brown on mine. Is that what it's supposed to be? Or should it be black? I can't tell from the stock photo.

I'm hoping this is real. I've been looking for more than 3 years and want one *so* badly.
Oh, this poor dog! How did they let it get like that?

I don't have an actual fob or pictures to compare to but I do think it's authentic. Whether it can be restored, I don't know.

I'll keep watching for another and let you know if I find one.
