Comments: Hi, I have been looking to acquire a large Madeline tote in brown, but I am not entirely sure of the authenticity here. I saw that the bag pictured is a Large (&the creed number corresponds with a large) and contacted the seller, since the bag is listed as a Medium. He confirmed that the bag is a large but never updated the listing, and didn't offer any additional information about the condition of the bag. Thanks in advance for your assessments! :)

The bag in the listing looks fine.

1- seems to be a genuine Large Legacy Duffle Sac
2- we do NOT recommend buying anything from that seller. Search this thread and Toolhaus, org for that ID. It was discussed just a few days ago
3- we can't authenticate without better photos, especially of the creed patch and serial number.
4- genuine Retro Duffle Sac

Thank you so much for the heads up! I'll see about getting better photos for number three.

Good morning:

Item: Coach Brown Soho Tote 4155
Seller: Cinzaw (on Etsy), Cinza (on eBay)
She states she is not sure of authenticity and it is listed on Etsy. I would like to purchase but was hoping to get it authenticated first. I believe she had posted a pic here previously.

Thanks in advance!

IF THE BAG CAN'T BE AUTHENTICATED, SHE SHOULDN'T BE SELLING IT.
The listing says

"The patch inside says:
Coach
This is a Coach bag. It was handcrafted in the United States of completely natural glove tanned cowhide. The variations in the grain are characteristic of natural full grained leather
F6B - 4155
Made in United States

I can not say if this is authentic or not."

THE SELLER IS A tPF MEMBER AND SHOULD KNOW BETTER THAN TO SELL ANY NAME-BRAND ITEM THAT CAN'T BE AUTHENTICATED. Etsy's Rules may be vague, but most of the Forum members here do NOT think that it's ok to sell a name-brand item unless you're 100 percent sure that it's genuine. If the seller isn't sure - and neither are the authenticators here, which is the case in this situation - THE ITEM SHOULD NOT BE LISTED FOR SALE. The seller asked here ONLY about the validity if the number and never posted photos of the bag so it's never been formally authenticated. The very widely spaced creed wording and mix of different fonts in the serial number would have caused me to call it "questionable" if actual photos of it had been posted here.

If the bag was ever listed like that on Ebay it would be a clear violation of Ebay rules and subject to immediate removal. Sorry if the seller doesn't see it that way, but that bag shouldn't be listed and I don't recommend bidding on it.

If the other authenticators here or the seller think I'm being too harsh or would like to comment, please do.

As always thanks very much for your insight and help:smile1:. I was hesitant as to the wording and the Creed looked off to me as well. That's probably why it was listed on Etsy instead of eBay. I think I will pass on this one. Thanks again.

Item Name:N/A, hopefully you will help me with the name

I need to see the shape of the bottom of the bag, and also the measurements - across the bottom at the widest part, the top opening and the top-to-bottom height of the bag. Also, are the strap buckles nickel-silver color or brass?

Thanks!
