Item: Authentic Coach Patricia's Legacy 9951
Listing number:200707394179

This is probably the second or third time that seller has listed what I think is the same fake. Unfortunately the seller ID doesn't come up when you search tPF using the underscores between the words, but if you seach just " le franco ricain " or search the full ID on Google you'll find other references to the seller's history of selling fakes.

The serial number P1L-9951 of that bag is on my Fakes List, the Orange color was not used for a Patricia's Legacy, and the month code of the serial is invalid and was never used. The plant code also doesn't agree with what's stamped in the creed statement. Read this post and the two immediately following it:

Not only does le_franco_ricain repeatedly relist the fake Coach bag but the seller's feedback is attrocious. There are indications that s/he also sold a fake Gucci:

#1: Fake. Coach made a couple of similar poppy applique bags but that color wasn't among them.

#2: Fake. She doesn't show the full serial number but the creed says it's a suede bag. It sure doesn't look like suede to me. And what the heck is with that hangtag?
I was curious about that hangtag too! I am continuously surprised that counterfeiters make up their own styles. When you see the description "rare", that is a warning sign. Thank you bunches!

Hi Hyacinth,

The first bag has an oval base. So it's approximately 11" long by 4.5" deep at the bottom base.
Thankyou :) and thankyou for the affirmations on the others and the name:)

The first one is probably a Shoulder Sac style 9730 from the mid-1980s.

I just recently purchased a Red Leather Bucket Coach at a Salvation Army Thrift Store and was wondering if it is authentic the creed says that it was made in the united states of completely natural glove-tanned cowhide. The numbers stamped on the inside slip pocket are J8Y-9019. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

It's hard to say for sure, the prefix of that serial number appears in both genuine bags and fakes, and I'm not familiar enough with the Maggie Duffle to know what red flags to look for.

Can you tell if all the metal hardware is brass? Or do the metal grommets surrounding the holes made for the strap buckles look like more of a silver color?

If any posters have a Maggie Duffle for comparison, their opinions are welcome.

You're welcome.

Yeah, "rare," "limited edition" and "gifts" (especially from exes) can be red flags.

Hi all,

If anyone has a moment to spare, I would greatly appreciate any thoughts regarding the authenticity of this item. Thanks!

Item: Chevron leather and suede shoulder bag
Listing number: 120852021582
Seller: jenni1gage
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/120852021582?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649#ht_763wt_932
Creed: NKO5S-8664

Genuine, but like the listing said, it needs professional cleaning. Light-colored Coach suedes can be a PITA to keep clean.

Hi,
Not my intention to look for fakes but they came up whenever I tried to search for vintage bags. This one, I suppose is fake with the horizontal line above and below the fake serial?

Item : Vintage Coach Willis Brown Leather USA Tote Crossbody messenger Bag Purse 316
Item No : 280817697500
Seller : Leonardik03

Yes, it's fake - not because it has the lines, but because the lines aren't the shapes they're supposed to be, genuine bags can have overstamping lines above and below the serial number too. The serial number is a known fake that usually shows up with those fake lines and is mentioned in my Fakes List
http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-sh...enticity-questions-94198-37.html#post18503288
and the 2 posts right after that.

An earlier Fakes list has a photo of the fake overstamping lines in a bag with an almost identical serial number

Please report. ALSO please report this other fake by the same seller

FAKE Scribble bag should be a Scribble STITCH with the Cs embroidered into the fab ric, NOT printed on, and the hardware should be brass.

DO NOT BUY FROM Leonardik03 !!!
