I think I may have a fake Coach wallet. Can you tell me if, on every snap, the word "Coach" should appear? Also, do the wallet zippers also have the YKK on them?
I'm sorry but you have a fake wallet. Yes, you MUST tell the seller that you want a full refund.Could someone tell me if this is a fake? It "feels" fake...I just need confirmation before I confront the seller.

Can you see those pics?
(Still trying to figure out posting pics with a mac...)
Beautiful! It is the "Station Bag" from 1995.
Not sure of the color.

Regarding zippers, the brand of zipper has nothing to do with authenticity. Some authentic wallets and bags have YKK and others have different brands of zippers. And most fakes have zippers that are marked as YKK, but they may or may not even be authentic YKK zippers.
Please post the link to the listing from which you purchased. (See post #1 of the thread for the requested format. It's helpful in identifying and searching seller IDs and listings.)

Thanks for your help. What about the wallet gives it away for you?

In the future, please be very careful when purchasing Coach wallets. There are some styles that are "well-faked" and it's often very difficult to authenticate. Therefore, we often recommend buying from established sellers with a proven history of selling only authentic items.
However, in this case, although a highly faked style, many of which are well-faked, your wallet wasn't one of them. The most obvious problem with this wallet is the front pattern. It should be perfectly centered with the pattern's mirror image being on both sides of the vertical strip of leather.
There are lots of problems with the wallet but that's the most obvious. Another problem is that the coin pocket is incorrect.
I've attached a pictures of the authentic version of style 6058, the style which I think thewoodfloorspecialist's listing was trying to copy. Compare to your item:
BTW, you are welcome to refer the seller here if she wants to ask questions. IMO, the seller should refund your full payment (INCLUDING shipping) and should just tell you to dispose of the fake. If she wants it returned, return shipping should be at the seller's expense but it's a waste of money because she can't resell it.
Refer him here.Thank you =) The seller seemed genuinely surprised (but I am sure they all do...) and has offered a full refund. He did ask why it was a fake though, so I wanted to have something to tell him other than "it feels fake". lol
Thanks again!
Hi. Can someone authenticate in the next half hour or so? Bid is ending. Thank you.

This part isn't right though, the serial numbers were NOT given in any kind of order - but the bag is from the late 1980s.
please authenticate, thank you,

comment: i'm very suspicious, since the creed says U.S.A. instead of spelling out entirely
thank you, i was very curious but did not bid.For a few years, some genuine bags DID say U.S.A. especially bags from the Lightweights and Soho lines.
This one is an Envelope Portfolio style 5190 from the late 1980s.
The creeds for the Brookes 14339 and 14340 just say that they are made "from the finest materials and leather" but it doesn't say what kind of leather. You might have to actually email Coach in the US - if you need to know because of religious reasons be sure to mention that in your email - or perhaps phone whichever Coach store in Malaysia has been open the longest and ask their manager if any of those styles used pigskin.
Coach used to mention in their older bags if pigskin was used, but they don't do that any more in their newer bags. Maybe someone else will know if they are still using that kind of leather.
You could also ask at the main Coach forum here:
http://forum.purseblog.com/coach/
They know much more than most of us here about what kinds of materials are used in the newer bags.
