Hi guys! I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I was wondering if you could tell me if this site sells the real deal? I know Coach does have a legitimate outlet site, but I've never bought from there. I thought it was by invitation only. I'm trying to help out a friend. Any info you could give me would be great. Thanks so much!

That site sells only CHEAP ILLEGAL fakes. They steal photos and graphics from Coach.com and other legitimate sellers to make people thing they're straight. Don't EVER buy from any site using Coach in its name or URL except for COACH.COM - No one else is authorized to use Coach's name.

And the only way to access the genuine Coach outlet site is to register with Coach.com and wait until they send an invitation, which usually takes severasl months.

Thank you so much for the valuable information! I truly appreciate it :smile1:

OK, attached are two more pics of the small black shoulder bag. I appreciate this! It's not in great shape anyway, so I would assume not worth much, but I sure don't want another auction ended like the one that turned out to be a fake. Sorry to ask so many questions. What do you think the black backpack would sell for, because I may want to buy it from her instead of ebaying it! Do I have the other bags listed correctly? I couldn't decide what to list the denim one as I chose "baguette" as they style. None of them sounded right. Any other style names I should add to those titles? I of course want to get my friend all she can from them. They just moved overseas and are struggling!

Sorry, I'm still not having any luck finding a name. All I can tell you is that if the creed says it was made in NYC, it probably dates fromthe late 1970s to about 1987.

We're not allowed to quote prices or estimates. You can search Ebay for "Coach Daypack 9960" to see what others of similar age (1990) and condition have sold for.

The pink leather bag 4293 made in 2004 isn't in my files so keep the name you're using. Style 7061 also from 2004 is a Vintage Signature Small Hobo. The denim bag you have listed as 6864 should be 6854, Denim Stripe Demi from 2003.

You're welcome. :smile1:

Thanks so much! There aren't any red flags though on the small black one though - I can go ahead and list it you think?

I don't see anything that makes me think it's fake. Just describe it as a small vintage leather Coach bag, and as long as you're sure the stamp says it was made in New York, put "NYC" or "New York City" in the title.

BTW, I made a mistake in my previous post, the black Daypack was made in 2000.

Thank you!!!

They all seem to be ok.

I just wanted to hear what other members think as well.

I don't see any reason to doubt BeenBurned's judgement. We don't "count votes" here. If someone's not sure, they'll ask for another opinion. If you need information like when it was made, you can ask, but our primary authenticators usually don't ok a bag unless they're sure.

Please help to authenticate

Comments: Although the seller has a good rating it doesn't appear that they specialize in handbags. Is this a good or bad thing? Thanks so much for your help!

There's no problem buying from someone who doesn't specialize in handbags as long as they post plenty of clear photos of the areas of the bag important for authenticating, which this seller has. I'd sooner buy from a Purse Virgin with a dozen good clear photos and accurate measurements than from someone who claims to be an expert but only shows one or two photos or who "borrows" i.e., steals, photos from Coach's website or from other sellers, and then squaks "I'm honest, check my feedback!" blah blah when you ask for more photos.

The bag looks like a genuine Helen's Legacy from 1995.
