I'm very aware of that and respect that, but they replied to everyone who posted after me. Either they overlooked me accidentally, don't want to help me, or I managed to post a bag none of them are familiar with, which given their amazing expertise on all things Coach, I doubt is possible. :smile1:

Thank you for your reply!

You also need to consider the possibility, which HAS been mentioned here before, that at least 2 of our regular authenticators don't specialize in newer bags and won't give authentication opinions on them unless they actually own the item or have a dependable set of photos of the same style that they're sure is genuine. So maybe there's a good reason that everyone who posted after you got an answer. BTW, Ebay has a Shoes and Purses forum too if you need an immediate answer.

If all of us could confidently authenticate every single style and style era that Coach ever made, we'd be doing this for a living instead of for free.

Soho Suede Clutch from 2008 in purple.

Hello! Can anyone tell me anything about this clutch I picked up for a song? I think it is a Soho style. Thanks!

Apparently no one is willing to help me authenticate my bag. Thanks anyway.

I see that NSP already responded to your authenticity request but personally, I do have to say that after reading your followup posts, the tone is rather sarcastic and certainly wouldn't have made me want to respond to you.

Though it's often difficult to interpret tone and impossible to see facial expression in a post, your posts have a tone of entitlement and we certainly owe no one anything!

We help out as our time and real lives permit and at this time of year, real life is rather busy.

Also, as Hyacinth pointed out, not everyone is familiar with every item and the item you asked about isn't a common style. I prefer not to give a green light to someone if I can't be sure.

Another thing to note is that you made your post after midnight last night and it hasn't even been 24 hours. Generally, if 2 days go by without a response, it's suggested that you either bump or repost, but to get snarky with the very people you are asking for free help is not the way to endear yourself to us.

If you read post #1 of the thread, you'll notice that Vlad makes the following statement:
Authenticators are not required to answer every request and it is their right to ignore a request that is not in the proper format.

I apologize to others for my rant and if I've misread your tone, I apologize for that too.

First of all, I bought the bag from a thrift store in my neighborhood so I could not comply with the format requested.

Secondly, snarky? I complimented you authenticators on your amazing knowledge of all things Coach, said I understand and respect you all have lives outside of purse forum AND acknowledged that maybe I had a bag you weren't familiar with and you attack me and call me snarky and entitled? Seriously? I don't think your rant was called for at all. I only posted because everyone who had posted after me had been responded to, and did not accuse anyone of anything. I acknowledged that you could have accidentally overlooked me OR that I might have a bag no one is familiar with!

Thanks for the hurtful, offensive post. I won't attempt to have anything authenticated here again.

Happy Holidays to all.

I did consider...did anyone actually read my post? I specifically said that maybe I had posted a bag no one was familiar with. I also said I understood you have lives outside of PF.

It's obvious I am not welcome here so I won't post again. The name calling by BB really wasn't necessary.

Comments: Any help in authenticating this would be greatly appreciated. I am also wondering if the strap is supposed to be so thin? I thought all Carlys had a wider strap...but I am not sure.

Thank you very much!

^ I am on my IPhone so I can't authenticate but the Made for Factory newer Carly's appear to have a thin strap.
Looks okay to me.

Sheesh! Did you read the last line of the post? I've bold-faced and enlarged it.

If you don't want help authenticating your items, that's fine, but we're here for those who want the help.
