I have learnt from this and if it’s necessary to open a dispute I always choose “item not as described” rather than “counterfeit or copy”! It’s a shame you can’t authenticate more items such as sunglasses & glasses frames.

There are one or two posters here who are familiar with Coach sunglasses and should be able to authenticate them as long as they have a good range of photos to work from. And I'm sure other designer forums here also have members familiar with accessories such as sunglasses, scarves, shoes, etc.

And I agree about filing all claims as SNAD with Ebay. It's a shame Paypal didn't do the right thing regarding your claim, but it doesn't surprise me. That's one reason why it's so important to have everything authenticated before you bid.

4- agree that there aren't enough pictures.

laidze really needs to get serious about authenticating her items or she'll find herself with a suspended ebay account.

1: great_lakes411 is not a seller I'd recommend. This listing and some on her others use only Coach's stock photos. Not only is the use of copyrighted stock photos illegal but it's also misleading to buyers who have no idea of what they'll receive.

2. This listing from natasha298 (raises red flags. The pictures are from different bags. Note that one picture shows purple lining and anther shows light blue lining. There's another huge red flag in another picture.

Don't buy from natasha298.


3: Chezmia sells authentic.

Coach makes a similar style and oddly enough, this is one style with center/match exceptions.

But the listing in question doesn't have enough pictures to authenticate. Both the bag and dustbag appear to be "off" but there's nothing definitive enough to report.
