Hmm. I recommend waiting for Hyacinth to comment on this one. As I commented earlier, this style is a scary-well-faked style. Personally, unless I was 100% sure that the bag originally came from a legitimate retailer our Coach outlet, I'd be hesitant to buy it.

I don't know if it's fake OR genuine - Coach has played games with plant codes before. As I said in the first post, a bag from a Chinese plant with an M code is questionable to me and I'm not comfortable authenticating it. Some bags simply don't have enough proof either way.

The bag mentioned in post 3181 is a good indication of how close those fakes can be, and yes, it should be reported - fake tags, badly stitched creed, off-center C pattern. And there's DEFINITELY one more thing that's absolute proof but it's something we don't mention in public forums.

Go with BeenBurned's advice on this one. I've never seen the actual bag and don't have any photos or descriptions to use as a reference.

Please authenticate this as well, I am not bumping this is a different bag since I would like to purchase another one for my moms sister:

item name : OACH-KRISTIN-LEATHER-MARINE-NAVY-ZIP-TOTE-16814-NWT

OKAY so I got the pictures from the seller:

They're in the slideshow. Please let me know what you think now.
Thanks ever so much :flower:

Awesome! Thanks - reporting & posting everything else!

I always authenticate if I buy any where outside a Coach store! You ladies are angels for guiding us!

My eyes were bleeding from the fakes I saw on a recent trip to Nassau! I soooooooooooooooooo wish I would have had my phone to get some pics! It's so totally stupid, because the full price Coach store in Nassau has an actual SALE FLOOR! (Yes, I'm wishing I had an extra $5,000 to blow!)

The creed in the makeup pouch isn't right either. I've never seen one in that style with a creed patch, and the little I can see of the serial number is making my Spidey-sense tingle:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Authentic-C...WH_Handbags&hash=item5646873a26#ht_716wt_1396

ETA - just took another look with a magnifying glass - the creed DEFINITELY says "This is a Coach BEAN Bag...".

Please report.

Spidey-sense tingling enough for the pouch to be reported? The other item by the same seller was fake and I already reported that one.

Also, I'm waiting for a lesson in manufacturing dates - those leather ones I posted - supposedly "made in italy" (99.9% sure it's fake) and the other made here in the U.S.
I not as comfortable with leather fakes as I am fabric fakes.

There is no link or item number.

These photos were sent to me by a new ebay seller who wants to be positive that the bags she has to list are authentic.

Since I know next to nothing about any bag made in the past 10+ years, I’d appreciate if the experts would take a look.

If it is authentic, does anyone have a name for it?

Thanks in advance!:smile1:

It's genuine and was just called a Signature Swingpack, from 2005.

This swingpack looks good.

Please DON'T report the Made in Italy bag! It looks like a genuine Carlyle Bag from the Madison line but the serial number isn't in the right format although that could be just a mistake at the plant - the Italian plant was famous for not following the rules or reading the memos. I'd need a much clearer photo of the creed stamp to be sure, the seller's photos are really bad. Also the so-called "low serial number" doesn't mean diddly and doesn't change the value since the serial format is invalid anyway.

It may be a very early production version but it's not fake from what I can see, I'm not sure why you think it's fake. If you're not interested in bidding, there's no need to ask for more photos, but please read my Ebay Guide to Coach's Italian-made bags.

In fact, you may want to read all of them, and if you find them Helpful, please vote accordingly with the link at the bottom of the Guide:

The green one is also genuine, I think the name is Geometric Bag.

Please check here before reporting any classic or vintage leather bags, they're much harder to authenticate because the serial number and creed stamp is much more important.

I am really loving the Coach Classic and the vintage pieces, but have no clue about how to authenticate, so I appreciate any help! (The fact that it says that it was made in China makes me VERY nervous). So, I asked the seller for the additional photo below:

REDCOACHCREED2.jpg

Coach started moving the production of their leather "originals" to China in 2000 or 2001. I think the last leather bags other than one or two extremely limited production bags were made in the US in 2002 or 2003. Signature C bags have been made in China since 2000, and a few travel and business styles were made there as early as 1996.

This one is genuine, but not vintage since it was made in 2001. "Vintage" in handbags is usually defined as 20 years old or more.
