Yes, it's helpful. The listing is fake.

Seller laidze sold the fake above. She also sold this fake:

I don't recommend laidze unless she educates herself about the items she sells. Sellers who mix authentic and fake (knowingly or not) are, in my opinion worse than sellers who sell all authentic items. (You purchased 2 other wristlets from her, bumble bee and watercolor stripe wristlets and both those appear to be okay.)

If the seller is willing to come and learn from her mistakes (as you did when you first came here), then she can get good helpful advice.

But unless and until she does the right thing, I would avoid her. (I would also send her a link to these posts.)

The listing was removed but for starters, the top of the bag was wrong.

The real 10002 has a dog leash clip on top. The one in the listing had a zip top closure. Did you pay yet? If you did, try to tell the seller not to waste his/her time. To just refund you now. If he/she already shipped, then come back here with photos of the bag BEFORE you file. That way you can put the right stuff in your dispute. be sure to add the listing was removed.

The bag was made in 2002. Sorry, I don't have any pricing for it.

You need to understand that to us "Baby Boomer Generation" posters and sellers, a "shoulder bag" is a bag with a strap long enough to carry it hanging from the shoulder so that it hits somewhere between the high and the low hip. It doesn't mean a bag with a 7-inch drop that's carried right underneath your armpit (which is one reason I don't buy used bags with the current short style shoulder straps). It meant a bag with a long strap that wasn't carried from a handle.

Long before the "new" shoulder style ever became popular, a shoulder bag meant something very different from what it means today, and that's probably what catonahotpc is referring to. Depending on what kind of clip it has, you may be able to double up the strap but it's not going to be as short as what today is incorrectly (to us Old Bags anyway) called a shoulder bag. Calling it a Pit Bag would probably be more accurate. :D

BeenBurned, did you notice the seller's location? Could this be another member of that Orange County group of scammers responsible for selling thousands of fake wallets under a dozen different IDs?

I did notice the "Orange County" location of seller caliebid. The listings don't appear to have the same listing style as the other group but I wouldn't discount the possibility.
