Got it (thanks for all the useful information). I do have an outlet about 45 minutes away, and the wallets are reasonably priced there too.

I don't want to get off topic too much, but I had this Coach Patent Ergo Large Hobo authenticated here
(Item No.230676656069: http://www.ebay.com/itm/230676656069?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649). I won the auction at what I consider a great price, and much lower than my max bid.

I received the bag today, and while it was listed as in gently used / excellent condition, there were a lot of blue pen marks and blue shadows/smudges on the lining of the bag. The outside is in GREAT shape. I was able to get about 90% out so far with Oxi-Clean and Shout Stain Remover, but I wanted opinions on feedback.

I'm still happy with the bag an do want to leave a positive, but, at the same time, I feel the seller should have disclosed it. Any opinions? Thanks!

Leave a Positive but ding their stars by one or even two. The line where you're asked to rate how accurate the description was would be the place to do it.

Wait for more opinions though.

Did you contact the seller about the stains on the inside?

I think that sounds like the fair thing to do. I did win it at a pretty low price. It's the exact bag I wanted, and I'm looking forward to using it this fall.

@Runner22 I haven't contacted the seller yet; just opened the bag when I got home this evening. I can't decide if it's worth it because I would definitely not expect a partial refund at the low price I paid and I don't plan to send it back. I wonder if I should just--in a friendly way--mention that the seller may want to disclose flaws or stains in a bag's lining in any future listings.

(I'm really glad I got the big stains out. When I first saw the lining I wasn't feeling too confident it would come out. Now there are just a few pen marks near and around the corner folds that are pretty well concealed by the shape of the bag. I spent a long time cleaning it, but it paid off.)

Because you're thinking reasonably about wanting to keep the bag and knowing that you got a great price, I think constructive criticism is appropriate.

(Understand that if she'd had a "prettier" listing and more pictures, her bag probably would have sold for a lot more money.)

She isn't an experienced handbag seller and in fact, her last Coach feedback was for an item sold 14 months ago. So it's probable that she doesn't understand how important full disclosure is in a listing. Plus, she's darned lucky she got such a reasonable buyer. There are other buyers around here who wouldn't think twice about demanding a partial refund (regardless of the price they paid).

I agree with Hyacinth regarding her "as described" star.

She is a new seller. I would contact her and tell her she needs to disclose that kind of stuff. I would not leave a star for the description. Don't fill that one in.

You got a great deal!

Yes, thanks for the reassurance that my course of action is appropriate; I will take only star off (which probably won't really matter in regards to her seller rating since she only sells, as you said, an item now and again).

I know that the bag goes for much more and you're certainly right about the photos. On my end, I benefited from the poor listing myself. If I had won the bag for much more, then I would definitely ask for a partial refund , but it just seems so WRONG to do that to a seller who clearly lost money on a sale. (I sell my designer denim and other clothing items from time to time and know it's hard to really make anything when you're only an occasional seller).

On a totally unrelated note, I have received 3 bags this month with personal receipts and, in one case, a carbon copy of someone's check. I can't believe people don't check pockets before sending things off. One also came with a pocket full of pencil shavings and pet hair .

Thanks again, BB and Hyacinth, for keeping things in perspective.

UPDATE:
@noshoepolish Thanks :D. I'm really loving the ergo line because they are so light--I think this large ergo hobo is the lightest big bag I have ever owned! I have a two medium ergos, but I'm really excited that I scored this large ergo at such a low price. It's such a versatile color too.

I temporarily misplaced my digital camera battery, so please excuse these photos if they're not sufficient. This brown medium signature ergo looks and feels okay, but I wanted to check here. TIA. (I will take better photos tomorrow with a real camera).

-- The bag would benefit from a good cleaning but the dim lighting makes it look much worse than it is.

Just saw this auction. It looks unusual. The seller doesn't have a history of Coach, good or bad it seems so thought I'd check it out with you. tia !

This listing is a fake. Please report.

I hope Hyacinth and DemRam look at the seller's other listings. These aren't my area of expertise, but I'm wonder about the gold one in this listing:
