If you have time, would appreciate some expertise on these remaining older 'mystery bags' from my live auction mixed lot. I am pretty sure some are authentic, but not absolutely sure on any as I'm not familiar personally with any of the styles.

The first two are the most puzzling to me (and by puzzling I mean sketchy :), they look very similar, but the gray feels almost like it's pleather on one side.

I've included numbers & where made on each of these, in case creed pix are hard to make out

Mystery bag 1: Gray older Small crescent shaped zip top:
approx size 9.75"w x 6"h x 3"deep, #0218-003, "Made in the United States"
http://photobucket.com/mysterybag1

Mystery bag 2: British/Saddle older Tan Small crescent shaped zip top:
approx size 9.75"w x 6"h x 3"deep, #0646-914, "Made in the United States"
http://photobucket.com/mysterybag2

Mystery bag 3: Green (color not true in these pix, forest green?) zip top shoulder bag:
approx size 10"w x 8.5"h x 3" deep, #085-6036, "Made in the United States"
http://photobucket.com/mysterybag3

Mystery bag 4: Black Hippie? Crescent? (strap is removed):
approx size 9.5"h x 9.75"w x 3" deep, #L6B-9988, (within creed) "Handcrafted in the United States"
http://photobucket.com/mysterybag4

Mystery bag 5: Black Rambler's? Shoulder Bag (seems small?):
approx. size 8"h x 9.5"w x 3.5" deep, #J0C-9061, (within creed) "Handcrafted in the United States"
http://photobucket.com/mysterybag5

Mystery bag 6: Black classic shoulder bag - size seems diff..
approx. size 6"h x 9.25w x 2" deep, #0199-945, Made in the United States
http://photobucket.com/mysterybag6

Thanks in advance for your assistance on these...

And for fun, :smile1: I have some nicer photos of the 60s Classic Pouch I recently had ID'd and authenticated in this post .
She was very grimy and dusty/dirty when I got her, and looked dark gray or faded black. Cleaning revealed she was actually a true Navy Blue!
With some care & conditioning she is looking lovelier, may repair the tiny worn spots by straps just to help insure they don't get any worse..

Thank you in advance! (I will attach photos but the same photos will be on the link)

We really need to see a clear photo of the creed and serial number. Are you the buyer? And can you either ask the seller for a readable creed photo, or post one when you receive the bag?

Technically it's not "vintage" since that usually means at least 20 years old.

Hi Hyacinth,

Thank you for your reply. I've asked the seller for a clear photo of the creed. I'm confused by what you mean by it's not "vintage" though. I'm possibly overlooking something but I didn't see a date of creation in the listing. Do you just know it's not vintage from experience? Thanks again!

ETA: Looks like the seller won't be shipping the bag to me until the 5th...so it may be after then before I can get a picture to you for authentication.

1- Small Swinger Bag style 4080 from the Lightweights line, late 80s-early 90s.

2- same as above

3- Carlyle Bag style 9854, very early 1990s

4- Saddle Bag, 1996

5- Looks like a genuine Ramblers Legacy. Measurements depend on where on the bag they're taken. Even Coach's measurements change from year to year.

6- Pocket Purse, style 9755

And the "new" Classic Pouch looks fabulous! :smile1:

If you can't post a creed photo until you receive the bag, please be sure to post a link back to your original post, because a LOT of other posts will be added here in that one to two week space.

And I know it's not 20 years old because even though I can't read the year code I know that Coach didn't start using the style number as part of the serial number until 1994.

Found another vintage bag...is this authentic? Thanks in advance.

Measurements: 10" by 7.5" by 3"
