Item: British Tan Pocket Zip
Details: Made in NYC, talon zipper, circa 1980?
Seller: Flea market $1
Dimensions: 10.5” wide, 8” high, and 3.5” deep
Photos: http://s1226.photobucket.com/albums/ee413/katev2/British Tan Coach Pocket Zip/

Comments: This is similar to the older Basic Bag but it seems a little larger and it has 2 slip pockets on one side.

I *think* it may be the "Companion Bag" or "Companion Zip". (I have a picture of that bag with 2 names). It's style number 9300. I'm not sure how long that style has has been around, so it's a guess about the year.

Unfortunately, I don't have the measurements, so you may want to wait for confirmation.

"Companion Bag", style 9300 according to my 1989 and 1987 catalogs, and it's probably from about that time, late 1980s. I don't have anything saved under Companion Zip but there aren't a lot of catalogs around from that time either, my guess is that they're probably the same bag.

Thank you both so much! I was intriqued by the bag but I hesitated to buy it (even though it was only priced at $3) because of the monogram; then the vendor said "If you want that bag you can have it for a dollar" so of course I had to buy it!

She said that it had belonged to her Aunt. Thanks again!

Hi,

I bought this but am very skeptical about it.

Here are extra pictures:

The bottom is what is throwing me off. It is kind of loose around the bottom if that makes sense.

Thanks!

I don't see any problems. And without actually seeing it it's hard to know what kind of problem it has. It may have a manufacturing or design flaw but I doubt very much if it's fake.

In fact there are quite a few listed on Ebay.

And you can probably get another 20 or 25 years worth of use out of it - not bad for a dollar! :D

Hi All!

I was just wondering anyone has heard of or dealt with an ebay seller called lvkate?
Any info would be fantastic....thank-you ;-D

She's mentioned on the Non-Paying Bidders list
http://forum.purseblog.com/ebay-forum/e-bay-non-paying-bidder-list-165307-73.html#post19405878

Sounds like a reseller who raises a stink when she buys something with the intent of flipping it and then tries to either get a discount or a full refund by claiming SNAD or even fake when she figures out that she can't resell it for what she wants.

That's my first impression, but if I was a seller I'd block her arse too. Read the next few posts. And if I was a buyer I would NEVER buy from a seller who tries to threaten or shake down other sellers just to put a few more bucks in her pocket.

Still reading the replies... more opinions would help.

BTW, her Toolhaus Feedback records would make me hit the Back button:
