Coach items before 1994 had any style numbers as part of the serial number. Coach didn't start using style numbers as part of the serial until 1994.
The fake serial 012-3445 has shown up in a number of different obviously fake bags and should never have neen in more than one, that's what makes it a known fake number.
Yes, some counterfeiters especially the ones located in Korea used very high quality leather and were good craftsman as well. They've been making Coach and other designer name fakes for probably ay least 20 to 30 years and will probably keep right on making them.
