Is there any way to double check if the creed and serial number is legit?
Unfortunately, a legitimate serial number doesn't prove authenticity. Counterfeiters can put a legit serial number on a fake just as easily as they can use an invalid number. And some of the fakes have serial numbers that are valid for the style of bag they are copying.

The only thing a serial number can prove is UN-authenticity. If a serial number doesn't match the style of bag it's on, the bag is definitely fake. (For example, there are several serial/style numbers that are commonly seen on fakes and they rarely match the style of bag they're on.)

And there are many serial numbers that appear on fakes that Coach never used on any authentic bag. Those bags are definite fakes since they have invalid serial numbers.

The reason we like to see creeds when authenticating bags is because the creeds have certain fonts, wording, serial number patterns, spacing, etc., that can differentiate between whether the creed is correct.

Gotcha. I was emailed the creed for the Kristin bag. Would you mind taking a quick look at it?

And thank you *so* much...you've been incredibly helpful!
