Also curious, does anyone know anything about this site
http://www.sportslinkup.com/shop/0-coach-1-GALLERY.html

wonder why they would have coach bags on a sports auction site? :lolots:
maybe they think the team coaches carry them???
ACtually, it seems to all link back to ebay, so I guess that's something.

Don't waste your time with those sites, all they probably do is collect auction numbers and take some sort of referral fee. Your chances of getting scammed are just as good as they would be if you went directly through Ebay.

Please authenticate. TIA!

Comments: For some time I’ve been looking for a classic, red leather Coach bag (like a Willis or a City Bag) in good condition to rehab and give as a gift - and it hasn’t been easy to find! The red ones are rarer than the black and brown bags and they sell fast! Many of the vintage red Coach bags on ebay or bonz are either in poor condition or listed at very high prices.

I made an offer on this one (even though the seller only had 2 rather poor quality pics) because I recently missed out on a red City Bag that sold while I was waiting for a clear pic of the creed.

I studied the listing and reviewed the seller’s feedback and the other Coach bags that he had for sale (and I looked at my black City Bag, too!) and I decided to take a chance. It was listed for $80 BIN or OBO; so I offered $50 and was pleased when it was accepted!

I am very happy with the bag and feel that I paid a fair price. The only thing I am not pleased about is that someone has punched an extra hole in the strap so that it can be made shorter. This wasn’t mentioned in the listing although it is shown, rather obscurely, in one of the photos. Now I am really glad that I made a lower offer instead of just hitting the BIN button!

I’m almost certain that it is genuine, but ever since Hyacinth pointed out spelling errors in the creed of a bag that I had purchased at a Thrift Shop, I just don’t feel safe without the TPF blessing!

Please let me know your opinions about authenticity and thanks in advance for all your work. I will attach photos to this message and the next.

Item: Pocket Purse?
Seller: SA

Comments; I found this bag at my SA, I think it may be a pocket purse? It measures approx 9.5X6 and has a pocket along the back, under the flap, and one along the entire back wall of the bag. The creed is a bit hard to read in the pic but is 0885 145. Thank you for any and all opinions!

The bag looks fine. I think it depends on whether you are bothered by the "extra" hole punch? In my opinion that SHOULD have been disclosed. (I purchased a LV bag with an "undisclosed" hole punch and I sent it back).

I think it matters if it bothers you!

If I were keeping it for myself, it wouldn't bother me; but I am planning to rehab it and give it to my Mom, so I am not sure.

Thanks for your authentication and advice, I will think about it.
