I have this beautiful coach SHOULDER BAG, and I am so confused by a few reasons that the bag might not be authentic.
1) When I search by serial # nothing comes up except this link in the purse forum

The pictures showing there does not look like anything like my bag!
2) The bag is very light weight.
3) There is no tag inside indicating where it was made!
What puzzles me are that the legacy stripes are beautiful and high quality as Coach. Will you please let me know if this purse is authentic or not? Thank you

Sorry, the bag is fake. Where did you buy this?
There are many things wrong with it.
- Coach never made a bag like this.
- Style number belongs to another style bag.
- The materials are cheap.
- The creed has the wrong serial number, wrong font and words like "THEFINEST MATERIAL STRIMMED"
- Lining is cheap fabric.
- Logo patch on front has wrong font.
- Strap is wrong.
- Legacy Stripe fabric is a cheap material.
- Bad stitching on creed.
I hope you can get a refund.
There needs to be more clearer, detailed pictures of both the bag and the wallet.

Thanks a lot for all your facts. That is so disappointing. Hopefully, it is not too late, and I could get a refund from the bay. No wonder I had never seen a legacy bag like this! Then again, I thought it was one of the kind! Gold trim was what made me doubtful. It must be made from plastic. And then as you mentioned it was the link on the forum that really worried me! It is completely different bag with that one. I am so glad I found that out just on time. Thanks again
Hi hyacinth! BeenBurned already said that she doesn't recommend buying from the seller but i just wanted to know if coach did release a bag that looks like this and what it's name is. Ive spent most of last night looking it up on the internet but the style number which i assume is 7043 based on the creed seems to belong to another bag.

It does look like Coach's photo but I don't remember seeing it in a white-on-white fabric. The only photos I have show it in Denim Signature fabric.

The problem we've been seeing with some of the eBay.ph bags is that the styles are agreeing with the serial numbers but the colors aren't correct, the stitching, fonts, hardware, hangtags and other small details are off.
But unfortunately, the differences are so minute that unless you look very carefully or are familiar with the styles, it's easy to be duped.
In the case of this seller, I don't know whether the items are authentic or "good" fakes, but based on the other questionable tactics, including listing as "C0ACH" (with a "zero" instead of O) are enough that I'd hit the back button.

I looked through the archives (wayback) and found it on the may 8, 2004 file. However, it didn't indicate the name of the bag.
