Some friends and I are TRYING to get this website to take this nasty fake down. They want to know how we are certain. We told them to have the bag authenticated here, but I will save them the trouble. What say the experts?

Item: "Purple Coach"
Listing number: none
Seller: Designer Bag Exchange
Link: http://www.designerbagexchange.com/bag_details.aspx?bag_id=105
Comments: I guess it's *supposed* to be a copy of Sabrina?
That bag is a nasty fake. There's nothing close to looking authentic about it.

But are you trying to take the website down or just get that seller's listing removed?

In a case such as this, the website is acting as a "venue" similar to ebay and Bonanzle. Their job as a website is to remove the individual sellers' listings when they violate the law. Based on the pictures in the other Coach listings, they appear to be okay. This is the only obvious fake Coach.

We're just trying to get them to remove that single bag from their website, and the site owner didn't believe us when we emailed him and told him it's a fake. So, I doubt he'll believe tPF either, but it's worth a try. That site is a trading site where individuals list their products and you can buy or trade. I don't want someone to get scammed - the $100 they are asking is a lot of $$$ in this economy.

Item: Coach Black Tote Style 201
Listing Number: 330422660508
Seller: sraider1002

I would like to know if this is an authentic coach bag as I have searched the web and can't seem to find anything like it.
Thanks in advance for your responses.
While you await other opinions on the authenticity of the bag, you might want to check out the seller's feedback:

I also believe the seller has a history of mixing real and fake.

If the serial number actually ends in -201 that would usually mean a bag made before the late 1980s, but that style doesn't look familiar. Maybe someone else will recgnise it. There's NO way I'd even think of buying without a much better photo of the creed stamping and serial number.

And from personal experience, I wouldn't deal with that seller again. Not only have I seen them listing & selling fakes, but the condition stated in the listing of a bag I bought didn't match the actual condition of the bag. Pay attention to Been Burned's advice about checking the seller's Toolhaus record.

Thanks for the response Hyacinth. I will see if I can get seller to post a clear image of creed stamping and serial number.
