For the purpose of reference, this is the listing from unicornandponys that was in question:Coach employees can lookup a style # from store computers and provide a brief description. Employees are trained to detect authentic Coach, but if a store mgr. cannot confirm the authenticity of an item valued over $125, you may be directed to complete some forms and ship it directly to Coach's Counterfeit dept in NY to receive a letter of authentication.
Registration numbers found on Coach creeds, usually contain 3-4 characters (number/letter combo) followed by the style number that is 3-6 characters long. Example: registration number F06S 8A16 is assigned to a large suede hobo bag that was made for the factory stores. The first group of numbers contains the year that the item was made. The "06" in F06S represents the year 2006. The second group of numbers is the style number, 8A16. The attached factory store tag is stamped with style FS8A16. A style number that is prefaced with "FS" denotes a Factory Style. you should do your reseach before u go bad mouthing a factory coach is a coach maybe u should call coach before you call people a lier.whoever told her this was fake needs to call and ask them

This bag is a fake and the seller owes you a full refund. If she doesn't agree to it, file a dispute.
You should also add a comment to the feedback indicating that the seller has fakes. Hopefully future buyers will see it and be forewarned.
Do not buy from unicornandponys. In looking at the feedback, although the listings are no longer visible, it appears that this seller has ripped off quite a large number of buyers. There's no way based on quantities and selling prices that any Coach items were authentic.

Edited to add: It's important that you file a dispute immediately. You only have 45 days from date of purchase to open a dispute and you won the item on July 4. Today is 41 days.
Unicornandponys, I will respond to your misinformed statements one by one.
Your statement #1: Coach employees can lookup a style # from store computers and provide a brief description.
Sometimes Coach employees can look up a style number but just because a creed has a valid serial number does NOT mean that the bag is authentic.
There are many fakes with serial numbers that are valid for "some bag," but not necessarily the bag it's on. And in fact, there are even some fakes that have serial numbers that appear to match the bag they're on.
Just because a serial number is valid is NOT proof of authenticity.
Your statement #2: Employees are trained to detect authentic Coach, but if a store mgr. cannot confirm the authenticity of an item valued over $125, you may be directed to complete some forms and ship it directly to Coach's Counterfeit dept in NY to receive a letter of authentication
There was a time that bags could be sent to Coach's intellectual property department and for a fee, they would authenticate or un-authenticate an item.
That is no longer the case. Coach doesn't do authentications.
Coach employees are NOT trained to detect fakes. They are trained to sell current stock. And sadly, most Coach employees have a very limited knowledge of past styles or styles that they've never seen.
And most Coach employees weren't even born when many of the styles they might be faced with were made.
Your statement #3: Registration numbers found on Coach creeds, usually contain 3-4 characters (number/letter combo) followed by the style number that is 3-6 characters long.
As I commented in my response to your statement #1, the existence of a serial number, valid or not, does not prove authenticity. Certain serial numbers can prove unauthenticity when the serial number is either a fake number or if it is a serial number that doesn't match the style of bag it's on, but a valid serial number can never (in and of itself) prove a bag as genuine.
The bottom line is that you sold a fake Coach bag (knowingly or not) and you owe your buyer a full refund.
I don't know where you purchased the bag (and the fake wallet that went with it) but as a seller, it's your responsibility to verify and confirm authenticity before listing any item for sale. Clearly, you didn't do that.
