That's NOT true. Many all-leather Coaches from a few years ago had C linings, and some others had logo linings.

DON'T judge older bags based on the ones from the last year or two!

Just bought a new Coach bag and cant tell if its fake or not. Im hoping that someone here, more knowledgable than myself, may be able to help.

Its a black canvas tote with leather trim. The serial number on the leather tag inside is C1K-7423. Not sure is that a real serial number or not.

Something that caught my eye is that there is a small metal like tag on that side that says COACH New York. I dont recall seeing this before but Im not sure.


I do not have pictures as I have not yet recieved the bag but I am posting a link (yes I bought it on ebay...cheap, real cheap, lol!)

#1 is fine.

#2 - looks okay (based on photos) but I am not familiar with the retailer/seller. Please wait for other opinions.

The listing isn't coming up, can you re-post the link? Or at least the auction number? Please use the format in Post 1 on Page 1 of this thread.

The syle number belongs to a Mercer Small Soft Hobo, and Mercers were a twill fabric and did have a small metal Coach plaque attached to the sides of the bags.

Please post photos of the bag when you receive it, especially the creed patch. Here's Coach's photo of that style:

Your link isn't working so I'm not sure what the item number is. But that style does have a Coach nameplate on the side of the bag.

Please post a link to the listing.

Hyacinth, I don't believe that the listing was removed. The link was copied incorrectly and doesn't have an item number. It doesn't appear that the listing was removed because the item number portion is blank.

I figured that out when I went back to recheck it. There's just a set of empty parentheses instead of a valid style number. Another good reason to use the "preferred" format from Post #1

You're too darned fast, BB, you always catch my mistakes almost before I do! :D

Ewww. That picture makes me dizzy!

It's really hard to tell from the picture but based on her other listings, it might be okay. (Wait for other opinions.)

The seller appears to remove charms from keychains and sells them separately. Personally, I wouldn't buy from twopals-n-me.

Some sellers use charms to make jewelry, but to just sell the loose charms rubs me the wrong way. JMHO.
