I will let the true authentication experts give the verdict, but my initial guess us that both are fake.

Coach never sells checkbook covers separately. It's not even possible to tell what kind of wallet this was removed from, and no way to verify if it's genuine and no way to prove authenticity unless we were able to see clear photos of the rest of the wallet, and even that might not be enough. Wallets are incredibly easy to fake and pictures of accurate fakes can be very convincing.

I do not know about this checkbook cover, but I was just in the Coach outlet in Orlando, Fl and they had checkbook covers for sale there by themselves. They had the signature coach pattern and were selling for $39.00. Maybe this is an outlet thing?

What you are probably referring to is actually a multi purpose case, style number 60551. Those are sold as a free standing item but they aren't specifically a checkbook cover.

Checkbook covers a not sold as a freestanding item.
