My husband doesn't know diddly about handbags and has no desire to learn .

It looks genuine to me, and if it's about 9 by 5 inches, it's probably a Pocket Purse and at least 20 years old. The actual style number is 9755 but since it's from before 1994 the bag's serial number didn't include the style number and was unique to that specific bag.

Thanks for the info. I only paid $4 for it. I couldn't beleave it was even there, I mean who gives a coach away!?!

Hi!!! I am brand new to TPF. I have visited many times and read posts. I received a bag from a friend and I have no idea where she bought it. I only know that there is a leather tag inside with numbers and letters on it. The hardware all says Coach. Can you authenticate this bag? It is a little lighter in color than the pictures show. The tag itself says N o with an underscore under the o then U 0 K-1053. I believe that is a 3 from using my magnifying glass. My eyes are that great anymore! LOL! I'm sorry but it's a VERY bad fake. Please don't sell it or donate it to a non-profit or it will end up for sale, and selling counterfeits is against US federal law. The lining is wrong, the name stampings on the hardware are all fake, and the hangtag isn't even close to a genuine Coach tag. Also the codes in the serial number are invalid and the style number is unreadable.

There are probably a lot more problems but those are the most obvious. I'm sorry.

Oh, I've been known to - anyone who lives and shops close to Tinley Park, Illinois may even find one or two. ;)

Frankly, with all the idiot buyers on Ebay who start screaming "Fake!" every time they receive a bag that doesn't match any of the bogus "Rules" that keep getting published in those mostly-worthless internet Authenticity Guides, I'd rather donate a bag and know that it will either be bought by someone who appreciates it, or be passed on to someone who really needs it, than be sold to some bozo who wouldn't know or appreciate a genuine Coach if it flew up her nose - and who then accuses me of selling her a fake.

Thank you so much. I had planned to donate it so I am glad you told me that it is a fake. I will give it to my little niece to play with and let my sister know it is fake. Thanks again!:smile1:
