Dear All, Appreciate if someone can help to authenticate the following Coach bag.. It was a gift from my sis.. She bought it from a blogshop.. I would like to determine it's authenticity before I carry it in public.. I love my sis for the gift but I can't take chances carrying something un-authentic around.. Thanks!!

Your pictures appear to be an authentic bag.

However that blogger uses many stock photos and pictures that seem to be stolen from others.

For example, this is one of her listings:
http://fabulousmamashop.blogspot.com/2010/02/coach-limited-edition-pave-heart-keyfob.html

And the picture was stolen from this seller:

I do know that some US sellers who sell a lot of items to international buyers allow use of their pictures on foreign websites but I don't know whether this is one of those instances.

Your bag appears to be fine, but again, I'm bothered by the continued excessive use of copyrighted stock photos in so many of their past and present listings.

More Vintage Coach questions:

Can some one check out the bag in post 4733?

Also, can some one Authenticate this bag for me as well? Does this one look like an early 60's bag? Authentic?
Thanks

I have never seen a fake with that "mark" (the metal plaque), but I haven't seen a whole lot of bags that have that mark either. I have seen authentic Coach bags that have "lost" that metal plaque. I think they just fell off - but you could still see the little "puncture" marks where the plaque had been.

I have 3 bags from that pre-creed period and the leather on one is a very slight bit thinner and softer than the really thick leather on the other 2.

Sorry, not much help.

I do recognize the one pictured above and I think it might be a Cashin design. If it is, it could have been made anywhere from 1962 through 1974, when she left Coach. Does it have any markings or a lining?

Thank you
The keychain is authentic.

No one can tell you what price an item is worth. It depends on the rarity of the item, how badly you want it, how many others there are to choose from, etc.

Often, Coach items will sell for more than their original retail prices because the items are no longer available and in high demand.

Only you know how much you want this item and what you can afford to pay for it.

IIRC, that style keychain (#1733) is about 4 years old and a search of ebay for that style didn't pull up any listings. So my guess is that you'll probably have trouble finding it, PERIOD, let alone at a lower price.

Thank you very much. And you bring up very valid points about pricing. I appreciate it.
