Thanks a lot, BeenBurned! :flowers:

I was kinda worried, coz was browsing through the other thread - "The Answers to AUTHENTICITY Questions" and read bout the CC's arrangement. Noticed that the arrangements of the CC on the top and bottom part of the bag are not completely centralized and symmetrical. Kindly see pix for reference.

Does this alter your answer that the bag is authentic? :push::sweatdrop: Thanks again!

To comment JUST on the C arrangement - the Cs on the tops and bottoms won't always be centered, and the Cs along seams won't always match up. The posts about the Cs referred only to the front and back of a Coach item.

????

Excuse me? I have no idea what you're talking about but those of us who help here are doing so voluntarily! We are doing you a favor so you don't have to pay someone else for an authentication. You're getting FREE advice and it's given on our own time. No one is paying us to help you.

Just because someone doesn't respond to a post doesn't mean we're ignoring you. Sometimes posts are missed and we never saw your post. Other times, if we aren't sure of the answer, we don't respond. And still other times, if some else has given advice, we don't repeat it.

With all due respect, whywhy89, rather than "booing" those who didn't respond, accept the advice of those who do. Then move on.

Ok I'm late to this and it's probably been resolved but I have to say that BeenBurned is ALWAYS on time with her replies like all the wonderful ladies that take time out of their busy lives to help prevent us from making expensive mistakes.

YUCK.

Those aren't the kinds of things I want to see before breakfast.

Please report.

I've been gone for a few days and just returned and spent an hour reading posts. I was shocked to see this post.

Thanks a million starrymaz:smile1: You are the best! Unlike BeenBurned keep ignoring my post. BOO!

Whywhy89, I found your post rude and unnecessary. To reiterate what others have said - the posters here respond on their own time and when they have time. We volunteer our time to do this and no one gets paid here. We all have lives and families and jobs and other responsibilities, which sometimes take priority over our time here. If a post was missed it was by no means intentional. Sometimes a post is skipped over because we are unfamiliar with the style or perhaps the listing doesn't provide enough pictures for a definitive answer. Or sometimes the post is just missed.

There are pages and pages of posts here every day and to expect someone to always respond immediately is unrealistic. BeenBurned has been one of our most prolific expert posters, and she always responds when she is able to. Whywhy89, you owe BeenBurned an apology.

Oh, that's good to know. Thanks for the clarifications, Hyacinth! So to sum it up, I guess my bag is indeed AUTHENTIC?! :yahoo:

And thanks again, BeenBurned! You guys are great! Gonna start enjoying my bag now. :D

In the wake of recently buying a fake bag on eBay I am inspecting and comparing all my bags. I have a similar question to one asked a little while ago. I have a brown patchwork bag F0793-40914 which I bought at a COACH Factory store a couple years ago and everything looks absolutely perfect about it, except for the creed. The stitching around the creed isn't quite perfect, the words and spacing are all good but it looks a little "puffy" and is hard to read. The serial number is spaced funny too, and the o after the N is more in the center of the N than at the top. My question is, should I suspect this bag based only on the creed being a little off? Like I said everything else looks and feels very genuine about it.

Thanks ladies.

P.S. I just received the fake bag that I accidentally bought, and have reported to eBay. In person, it is the fakest thing you have ever seen!! The seller is still sticking to his story that it is genuine too. So he is either naive, or a jerk. Ebay isn't being very helpful either--they are recommending that I ship the purse back for a refund, not even addressing the issue of it being a fake. I haven't decided if I am going to burn it or ship it back to him with a long list of everything that is wrong with it.

Again, I am so very greatful to have found this site. It (you) will save me from a lot of disappointment.

It's really doubtful that anything you yourself bought at a Coach outlet would be fake. We've said this before but it bears repeating - Coach workmanship is NOT always perfect! Please get that "rule" out of your mind because it's just not true, not now and not 10 or 20 years ago either.

And Coach has NEVER used exactly the same creed formats and fonts on all its bags. There are variations between styles, years, and plants now and there were even more the older the item is. The ONLY time you can ever compare 2 Coach items is if they're exactly the same style and were made in the same plant and in the same month and year. Otherwise, there ARE going to be differences.

As for the fake you bought - unfortunately, to go along with Ebay's new policy of making things easier for counterfeit sellers, Ebay and not Paypal is now handling SNAD claims and no matter what you say to try and prove that the bag is fake, they'll still tell you to send it back to the seller to s/he can sell it to some other poor schmuck and Ebay can collect even more fees. They don't CARE if something's fake any more, all they want is to show a profit to the stockholders so the management can hang on to their jobs.

Before anyone buys a designer item on Ebay, I personally suggest they see if the same item is being sold on Bonanzle. At least the management there is making a solid effort to remove fakes and fakes sellers. And no, I don't sell on either one, but I'm thoroughly disgusted with Ebay and what's been happening with the way they're handling fakes and fakes reporting. Many tPFers have Bonanzle booths either in addition to or instead of Ebay stores, and it never hurts to check and see what's available. You may even be able to work with the sellers a little bit on the prices. ;)

JMO, for what it's worth.

I don't know if it's the lighting, but in the picture of the creed, the lining appears to be a different color from the other pictures. I would ask for another creed picture to verify the color.

In the future, please use the format indicated in Post #1, as it makes it easier to search for items and sellers. Thanks.
