comments: I am still shopping for a brown wallet and t came accross this one looks fake to me. If it is how do I report it to ebay? Or do you contact the seller and give them a chance to take it off in case they are not aware it is fake?

Contacting the sellers isn't a good idea. Most won't believe you and the ones that know darn well they're selling a fake will tell to to "get a life" or to "mind your own F***ing business".

Use the Report link at the right of the listing page under the auction number and seller information and report under the Listing Violation and Counterfeit and copyright violations headings.

Thank you Hyacinth and BeenBurned. I will report it on ebay. Thanks for the direction on not contacting the seller.

I dont know if someone has responded to this but think it is a fake. If you look at the craftsmanship with how the fabric and the "c's" dont align that shows its fake...

As I posted here yesterday, please read the latest entries at the Answers to Authenticity Questions thread about aligning the Cs. In fact, everyone who posts here should read the whole thread when they have time:

Thank you, BB. I have requesed those pics and info. I also requested more pics and infor on the yellow and white hobo that I asked about yesterday, but have gotten no reply. Hyac. thought it looked good, but would have liked to have seen the creed. I wasn't sure if coach made that bag in that color. I really like the springy look of it, and we could sure use something Springy here in the midwest! Do you think in general sellers that don't respond just don't bother, or have something to hide?

Hi, Does anyone know what style is this? Saw this on a market site and Shipping is from korea according to the information. I've never seen a studded tag before. Is this authentic?

I haven't seen it either, but even if I had, I'd still insist on seeing a good clear photo of the creed patch. Korea and fake Coaches have a very long history together.

I'll check my files and see if I can find a similar bag, but you really need to get a creed photo if you're thinking of bidding.

And very often those "collage"-type photos come from fakes-selling sites. You should always be extra-careful when a listing has that kind of photo.

EDITED TO ADD - I found the style - 1470, Soho Sig Studded Hobo, and the hangtag IS studded. We still need to see a creed patch though.

That listing is for a fake.

The correct style number of the authentic version of that keychain is 92010 and you don't see it very often.

All the Dooney items (current and completed) are also fake.

Be careful because that's a frequently faked style.

Thank you so much!! I would've bid unless I checked with you. I'm so glad you caught that. I see that the listing has been removed too. Good eye. :D

I wasn't sure about the studded tag and the seller had in her listing, some of those signature stripe tote without the tags and even mentioned the missing tags which is why the price is cheap. The site where i saw this, its not like ebay where you bid a starting price. It's more like a shopping site actually. Here is the link:

http://www.gmarket.com.sg/challenge...odscode=200136598&sid=110&special_form=TYPE10

However, among some of the sellers selling coach bags in that site, 1 or 2 are reputable sellers & they are not from korea.

Can I aske a general question about a bag name/defference? Is a Madison Audry bag basically a smaller version of the Sabrina? I have the black leather Sabrina (my very first Coach purchase-new in Chicago ("my husband said quit just looking and buy yourself one or I will") and I see the Audrey on line and the only difference I see is the size.

I see Hyacinth beat me to the punch. I was going to post another listing of the same bag:

It's hard to say why sellers ignore requests for more information.

And Coach did make bags in a similar yellow Optic pattern but I've also seen fakes with a very similar pattern, so it pays to be careful. It could be a Factory Store style too, and I might not have any pictures on file. But it's only March, there will be plenty of bags in Spring colors listed over the next few months.

Thanks!

I own that same bag. I don't know the exact proper name, but was told (back in 2006) by one of the experts on the ebay purse board, that it's a "Drawstring Flap". She also dated it to the mid 1980's.

I'd be concerned about condition because of the following sentence in the description: "It could use some glue where the strap attaches on both sides of the bag, see pic." I don't know exactly what the problem is, but it looks kind of rough on the sides. I can't imagine putting glue on a bag to hold the straps on.
:smile1:

Believe it or not, it's called a Shoulder Bag (what isn't? :smile1:), style 4050, and it's from the Lightweight Collection of the mid-80s.
