They both look fine. The black one is called a Bedford Flap and is from 1997. The berry-colored one is a Tribeca Shopper from 1999.

Comments: Just purchased this from Ebay just before I found this forum. What do you think? Authentic?

TIA :)

I'm wondering why the seller sold this item twice, once on Jan. 26 and then again on Feb. 8.

The first picture is not the seller's own picture. There's a watermark on it, indicating that it was taken from another source. If the second and third pictures are the seller's own pictures, the bag looks ok. However, please post pictures here once you receive it so we can double-check.

Comments: I have no proof, but I have a sick feeling that every item on this listing is fake. I've seen a few fakes out of Quebec I'm sad to say. This seller lists no details, uses stock photos, has zero feedback and doesn't list any style numbers. I posted a link to all their items. Not sure if there is anything that can be done, but I have a sinking feeling in my stomach about this. I am not planning on bidding on anything, but I hate the fact people may be getting scammed.

But then again, maybe it's above board, I am no expert. What do you guys think?

Ebay does have a policy restricting use of stock photos, unless the seller is authorized to do so.

eBay members are not allowed to use images—including photos and other pictures—or text they didn't create themselves. Exceptions to this policy would be if they are authorized to do so by the owner, its agent, or the law.

You can use images and text descriptions from the eBay product catalog in your listings without violating this policy. The product catalog may include, at our discretion, select seller-generated images or photos from seller listings. Unless the seller opts out of this program, the inclusion of such seller-generated photos in the eBay product catalog and the use of catalog content by eBay sellers in their eBay listings is authorized under the User Agreement.

If you choose not to use photos or product descriptions from eBay’s product catalog, the best way to make sure you follow our policies is to take your own photos and write your own descriptions. This will help you avoid the risks of using someone else’s pictures or text, and you won’t need to worry about getting permission from any third parties.

Make sure your listing follows these guidelines. If it doesn't, it may be removed, and you may be subject to a range of other actions, including limits of your buying and selling privileges and suspension of your account.

What are the guidelines?

If you're not using pictures or text from the eBay product catalog, you should use your own when creating a listing. If you're using someone else’s photos and text, make sure you're authorized to do so.

Restricted:
You can use the following only if you're authorized to do so by the owner, its agent, or the law:

  • Stock photos and text
Not allowed:
You're not allowed to use the following if you're not authorized to do so by the owner, its agent, or the law:

  • Photos and text from other eBay users
  • Photos and text copied from websites
  • Scans from catalogs or advertisements

Here's where the stolen picture came from. The description was also plagiarized.

The bag looks genuine. But since the seller says the leather isn't as bright as it used to be, you might ask her for more photos just to get an idea of how used it looks and whether or not you can live with it. Light-colored leathers can be tough to clean.
