Enough people reported his bags as fakes or counterfeits to ebay.

Just remember to always get a bag authenticated here before purchasing online! :smile1:

All that crook's "Coaches" were fakes. They started to disappear just as I was trying to send my report.

Until you feel comfortable in identifying the difference between authentic and fake Coach, ask your questions here before bidding/buying. Don't worry about missing out on an item in the event that you don't get a response in time for the end of the listing. In most cases, there'll be another of the same item.

As for what happened to that seller's listings, ebay reviews reports of fakes and evidently deemed them to be fake and they removed them.

There aren't any quick tips that are effective unless the bag is a really bad fake, regardless of what hundreds of "Authenticity Guides" on the internet will tell you. Every "Rule" has exceptions, and the more well-copied fakes can be almost identical to genuine bags. Please don't ever depend on those Guides for accurate information.

Misspellings and run-together words, misaligned C patterns, C or logo-pattern lining inside a bag with C or Logo fabric on the outside, those are the most common red flags. But there are a hundred different things that can point to a fake and the warning signs are different on every style of bag. The only thing that really works is to have a specialist here look at the bag.

But if you check the "Answers To Authenticity Questions" thread you'll find some useful information written by some of the posters here that will point out some basic things to look for. Some of the info in a few older posts is no longer valid but hopefully you'll find updated info in the newer posts.:

I love reviewing all of these to better my own skills and knowledge. You all are the BEST! I certainly appreciate all of the time you take to help us out. I would imagine that the legitimate sellers use the same ID, where those that have fakes would use different names as they get caught.

Is there an area on this forum that lists known, reputable eBay sellers?
