SNAD = Significantly not as described

I agree that sellers should be honest about describing condition. As a buyer, I'm much happier receiving an item that's "better than described," than one where the seller didn't honestly point out issues.

I think too many sellers are afraid that if they are "too accurate" in their descriptions, they may turn buyers off so they fail to point out the flaws, wear, odors, etc.

I really am sorry you're disappointed and I don't know what to suggest to you as far as return or refund. But since you've posted in the "authenticate" section, I am confirming that you did, indeed receive an authentic item.

Many sellers are averse to giving partial refunds because (not saying this is the case here) buyers know what they are paying when they bid/buy and many often try to get even "better" deals afterwards. Thus, many of those sellers would rather just accept the return, refund and resell the item.

Thank you for your help! I'm glad to hear its authentic atleast!!!

There's no way the seller has authentic. Judging by the feedback, I'm willing to bet that they're using a dropshipper, which is why the buyers have left neg and neutral feedback; the shipping is slow because the items are coming from China! (One buyer revised the feedback to positive. I wonder what the issue had been.) I don't trust that seller one little bit.

Thank you BeenBurned! I tried to report and must be doing something wrong...can one of you report? I'm going to try to figure this out--I've never reported before.

Comments: I was just browsing the coach offerings (looking for that perfect purple coach bag, actually) and found this stinker...stock photos, multiple listings of same item; brand new, just released items. Sad thing if these are not the real deal--each of the 3 Brookes have close to 20 bids! What do the experts think?

BB, when you click on the auction link, watch what sites load before the full page appears. It helps to have an old, cranky, slow computer like mine, but one site that comes up and takes a while to load is "image.dhgate.com"

AND SCROLL DOWN ANY OF THEIR LISTINGS - DOZENS of photos of obvious fakes from every major brand that we've reported over and over again. Any bag that isn't in a stolen photo is fake. And the Properties of the photos show they're hosted at DHGate.com.

Comments: Could someone also authenticate this for me? I didn't even know Coach made diaper bags until my husband told me I should look into buying one!

That bag is FAKE. Please don't bid on it. The C pattern isn't even correctly centered on the front, the screwed-in Carriage plaque is completely fake and the changing pad is wrong too.

Yeah, I kind of thought so. It looks EXACTLY like my duffle bag I got in the Bahamas which I only paid $30 for. Do you know if Coach makes diaper bags? I will be posting another diaper bag I was looking at right after this. At least the seller didn't claim it was authentic! ;)

Looks okay but can you get a picture of the creed? You might also want to ask for a photo of the changing pad. It says that it's included but there's no picture of it. It's probably okay (authenticity-wise), but it could be stained and for a changing pad, I'd want to see the condition.

She now has posted pictures of the creed and pad - could you take another look for me??

Thanks

oppss.. thought quote would also take the quote you used in responding - here is the listing information that I originally posted:

Was there anything specific that looked fake to you? It would help if you could point it out. I'm not familiar with this style but nothing obvious is jumping out at me.

Looks like an authentic resort black patent shoulder bag to me. I saw those at the outlets back in April I think.

They DO make diaper bags, just keep looking. But there are also a LOT of fakes. And many fakes sellers do claim their bags are authentic - sellers can and do LIE.

And if you paid $30 for a bag in the Bahamas, it's not a real Coach, which I'm sure you've realized. I hope you're not still using it. Carrying fakes just provides free advertising for an industry that ignores envronmental regulations, ignores laws written to protect factory workers, employs illegal child labor which is basically slave labor, and funds street gangs, organized crime and international terrorism.

The making and selling of fakes is not a victimless crime, no matter what its apologists want the buying public to think. Many people think all they're doing is saving a little money, but it's not that simple.
