I have never had to open a dispute, so I would wait for other opinions on how to proceed.
I do believe that going through the dispute process means you have to return the item before you are issued a refund IF Paypal tells you to.
I don't recall the fake bag, but since it has been removed by ebay, that should work in your favor.
Wait for someone more experienced with these things.
PS. Would you post the ID of the seller of the fake bag?
