I just received this bag from eBay today. I have some concerns because I am very familiar with Coach leather products (have been buying from outlets for over five years), but *not* so familiar with their Vachetta leathers other than handle linings and trims. The hang tag, I'm sure is not original to the bag but my conerns are:

Doesn't smell like leather at all
Sounds like vinyl when I handle it
Leather seems thin, and a bit stiff although the top layer very soft
Lining is not satin, feels like stiff cotton
"C"s in lining are thick where they meet
Brass dog leash has corrosion
"Coach" engraved in only one handle brass ring facing inside
Slight yellowing on the bag
Quality is a bit "iffy" concerning stitching
Normal size leather logo, but type seems so small!

Here are pics, thank you so much for taking time too look and hopefully someone will ease my mind, or let me know if I just received a fake (sigh).

No need to worry - the bag is absolutely authentic! To address your concerns: The details of the bag are correct. I don't see any problems with the hangtag. The lining on this style is not satin. It's normal for the brass hardware to have some tarnish. This has happened to a few of my Legacy bags. The Coach engraving on the brass ring is correct. I have a bag with the same engraving. It's normal for white bags to yellow over time. I don't see any problems with the stitching. Coach has used different fonts on creeds over the years. The font on this creed is correct for this style and time period. This was originally a boutique style that was later sent to the outlet, as indicated by the bullseye on the creed.

This is my first post to this forum, so I apologize in advance if this is not the appropriate thread for my questions.

I have a number of Coach items that I plan on listing on eBay. I guarantee the authenticity of all of them, as I have personally purchased each and every one at either Nordstrom, a Coach Store or Coach Outlet. With the exception of one item that I received from a friend about three years ago. She is also a Coach lover, so I don't believe she would give me a fake, but I would like to have confirmation of it's authenticity prior to listing it. I would feel terrible listing a fake. The main reason I am questioning it, is because I looked up other Scribble Pouches on eBay and all (active and complete listings) others have a tan trim on the front above the button and only one has the same white trim as the one I have. Also, last question is, is it okay to mention your forum on my auctions, for people that want that added confidence of authenticity?
