I got this bag off ebay back in 2005 I think....I thought it was real!!! The seller told me they got it at NM on a clearance sale....I also ready that coach didn't always stamp the buckles on this style....Does anyone else know about this?

I never heard about not stamping the buckles, but the unmatched center back seam is a giveaway. There's no way that Coach would have let that bag get through their quality control.

The buckle on the strap is stamped on the back, but the rings are not stamped. and the interior fabric is solid black- no Cs! Something about the zipper just doesn't "feel" right, and the tassel is...just not Coach-ish!

Let me know if more information will help - was given to me by a friend who was cleaning out her closet - not sure where she got it. THANKS!

I don't see any problems with the bag. It's supposed to have solid color lining and a tassel. Check out the other listings for the style: coach 11838, great deals on Clothing, Shoes Accessories on eBay! Just an FYI, it's usually fakes that have "Coach" stamped all over them. Often, the real deal doesn't have the hardware stamped.

I'm not sure if the stitching shown in the last picture is supposed to be like that to the sewing up of the coin compartment at the back?

It came together with a coach tag, gift receipt, care card and a contact detail card other than the coach box, dustbag and tissue wrapping. PS: The wallet was from my sister in law who bought it from someone else
