Can you help me authenticate a COACH cowhide purse and maybe find out what style it is and what year it was made? The leather is real, has a bull's eye on the left corner of the creed. The creed is stamped on the leather and reads "This is a COACH bag. It is made out of completely natural glove tanned cowhide. The scars, scratches, veins, and wrinkles are natural markings characteristic of full grain leathers." this is all CAPS . Underneath, it says Made in the United States in smaller caps letters. The serial No. is No. 0013 007. The zippers inside and outside the purse read YKK and it is kind of rounded, with a top zipper and one pocket on each side on the outside, with no zippers or closure on the outside pockets/compartments.

Coach will send you a free hangtag if you lose yours. They are sending me one right now because when I got mugged mine came off. You just email them and send them info on the bag. I did not need to send them a receipt. Also, I did not need the style number or anything. I found a picture of the bag and sent it to them with a description and that was enough.

It came today and it's real!:tup: I'd post a photo of the creed, but unfortunately my camera is acting up today.

Hi,

Can you post some photos?

The "wording" on the creed is on almost ALL older Coach leather bags. The serial number 0013-007 ONLY means it was a bag made BEFORE 1994.

Sorry, but without pictures of the bag and the creed it's really impossible to tell.

I bought a bag from "it's a walk in the clouds" and I was pretty satisfied! She was really nice and the bag was good quality. I ended up re-selling it because it was too small though LOL

Mugged? Gosh, I sure hope you are okay, and the only thing you lost was the hangtag! I called Coach and they were wonderful and will have one for me on its way soon! Thanks to everyone for saving me $10+! :woohoo:
