Please tell her it's been positively identified as a fake by several Coach experts, and she needs to remove it permanently before Ebay does it for her.

And if she doesn't believe you, tell her to start a new post at the Ebay Shoes and Purses forum and ask for more expert opinions:

I dont know anything about the first and the third,

but the second pair,the Legacy Stripe Flats,

they are stamped 7.5 on the bottom and they auction states 8.5, I agree with Starry on these, they do not look new either, the bottom looks walked on.

Thanks Hyancinth! I asked her about the size and she said it was 11x7 and that's when I asked about the creed. didn't send me a picture so I don't know if she is trying to pass it off as real, or if she really just doesn't know her stuff!

Thanks again for your help! I already reported the item thru eBay because she repeated the fake serial number to me when I emailed. She also said that it may be "disappearing" soon LOL she said that an international bidder wanted to buy it now for $99.00 UGH!

I have a love/hate relationship with ebay LOL! :rolleyes:

The auction actually says "brass hardware".
I think they are just crappy photos.

It's authentic. The Legacy's all have brass hardware. The photos are pretty poor quality, but it looks like brass to me. I was watching this too (thanks selketkrb for posting the link-you always find the best deals!) and asked the seller about the condition of the bag since it's hard to tell from the pictures, but haven't heard back. I don't want to take a chance on possibly getting a bag with some noticeable wear, but if someone doesn't mind about possible wear (it's really hard to tell if there's anything from the pictures), they might end up getting a good deal.

And finally, looking for an opinion from all. At the Macy's counter today, the sales clerk, when I was contemplating a Carly, told me that Carlys don't hold up as well as other Coach bags. What are your thoughts? Anyone? :smile1:

I have had my large black leather Carly for over a year now, and I love it so much that I use it every day other than occasionally swapping out for my Miranda or Legacy Satchel. It gets better and better the more you use it. I would say it's one of the most durable Coach's I have ever had. I love that bag!
