Hi everyone! Can someone tell me if these earrings are real or fake? Just a little scared to give full price for them not knowing for sure.
Thanks,
Tara

sweetheart, they're on the coach website for $98; the seller is offering them for 99 plus shipping. why not just buy them directly from coach and forget the hassle of a possible fake?

i'd say that your best bet is to always go throught coach directly.

How about this :

http://cgi.ebay.com/AUTHENTIC-COACH-KHAKI-PATCHWORK-SATCHEL-HANDBAG-10816_W0QQitemZ250192354087QQihZ015QQcategoryZ45259QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting

I'm thinking its real but I'm somewhat concerned about teh color of the leather that lines the bottom of teh bag. As I recall when I saw it in a Coach store last spring the leather that covered the bottom of teh bag matched the leather on top of the bag/handles. the leather on the bottom of this appears to be a lighter shade.
Any advice is appreciated.

ask for a better picture of the creed.

(this is a repost- the auth thread doesn't link from the main site like over in MJ so I didn't see it)
Hi everyone-

I generally post in the Marc Jacobs forum, but I have been a long time Coach fan/owner. (I'll try to lurk around here more often!) I'm totally inexperienced in authenticating Coaches (on eBay) but figured a picture of the front/back/inside with the serial No. would be enough. (I know exactly how to spot a fake MJ, however..) I know my bag is real, I found it in the store about 4-5 years ago and practically put my boyfriend on the phone with them to order the exact model number. I just got my listing taken down for trademark violation! Do people assume it's fake if it's "too cheap"? Were many fakes made of this bag? What do I need to show to prove that it's real? I was so upset and confused! I would never own a fake!

Thanks for your help!
Nico

thats exactly what i thought. i'm the one who posted that auction in the first place,
as an example of a bad creed. for me, the creed is the first thing i look at when trying to authenticate a bag. i'm sticking with my way,
because in EVERY single fake bag i've ever seen, the creed is off.
the "o" and the stitching are always off.
i don't see any reason that a bag that is being newly made in china should have a part of the stamping off.
it would seem that a stamp that matches all authentic coaches would be sent to the factory.
i might be able to see the stitching being a bit off, since it is a new factory and all,
but definitely not the stamping on the creed. that should be 100% aligned and matching up to all other creeds.
JMHO. :shame:

The stamps for the creeds are made by the individual plants, not sent out by Coach. Creeds from different countries will look different - you might want to look for yourself at the other bags in this style on Ebay and compare.

And sure, experiencd sellers can be fooled - but fakes from six years ago didn't have straight-cut and straight-stitched creeds.

There are NO rules about the sizes of the small O's either, or about a lot of other details of older bags. Creeds on bags from different countries, especailly back when production was bing switchd to China and the Signature bags were just being introduced, will always be different.

Look for yourself. And maybe when you've looked at as many as I have, you'll believe me.

^^^ That makes me feel a lot better because I have that exact bag from Ebay in red leather. I was worried when I saw the information about the "o" needing to be 1/3 the size of the "N" because mine is big. But since it's big on all the bags. Yipppeeee. Because I love mine. I use it inside my Hampton Book Tote that I take to work so if I have to do an errand after work I can leave the Book Tote in the car and just grab the smaller purse with my wallet and agenda in it.

Another wallet, I know its kind of hard to tell if its real or fake but what are your opinions...Does it look authentic?

Forget it...I called JAX already cause the auction was ending soon and the SA told me from 2004-present Coach didn't make a wallet like that. So not sure if Coach made one before '04 but I don't want to risk it. I was very unsure about its authenticity after calling JAX.

VERY fake, the alignment of the C's is completely wrong, and the hangtag is fake. The right and left halves should always be exact mirror images of each other, except for Optics and some Scribble Hobos. Be careful, many fakes are also correctly aligned so that doesn't mean a bag is real. But if they're as screwed up as they are on this one, it's ALWAYS FAKE.

There are other warning signs too but you shouldn't even have to look farther than the pattern.

Does anyone have any input on the authenticity of this bag? I know that this style is at the outlet right now. I have asked for a clear pic of the creed as well, but I have not received it yet. Thanks for any help!

i was leaning towards real, but then my bf pointed out that the picture of the inside is the same picture as the interior picture for the other coach tote they are selling. a little suspicious if you ask me? :confused1: he has a good eye for things recently. :p

I hadn't noticed that. But, I thought that the zipper on the interior pic looked brass instead of silver like the rest of the bag. When I look at their other bag it has brass hardware. It's possible that they just used the wrong interior picture I suppose. I asked for a picture of the creed. If they email me back, I will post it. Thanks for your help!
