After production was switched over to China, sometimes the first few weeks' production would have some minor problems that would have to be worked out. I think this is one of those cases. The stitches are small and tight the way they should be - usually a fake would have longer and much sloppier stitching. AND the edges of the creed patch itself are straight which they never were on early fakes.

I think it's genuine, but it should have gone straight to the outlets or never have been released at all. And you can't compare it to the creed on a briefcase that's 6 years older and made in a different plant AND country. If you're going to compare creeds, compare them on the same type of bag made at approximately the same time and in the same country. In fact I can see at least one good reason why I'd question whether or not the creed on that briefcase was genuine - two if you want to split hairs. Compare apples and apples.

The seller has a good reputation, BTW, but with the improving quality of the fakes I've seen lately even a trusted seller can be fooled.

I thought the "O" in No. was supposed to be 1/3 - 1/4 the size of the N. Is this always true, or can it be 1/2 the size of the N, like in this example?

That was the subject of the above discussion.

i am pretty sure that is real as for the O i never noticed that.. i just go by serial and alignment of the C's

Something looks off to me too about the stitching around the zipper. Also, the seller's history shows they have sold a LOT of this wallet as well as a checkbook wallet...

And one feedback accuses the seller's wallet of being fake, though it was mutually withdrawn by eBay because the buyer didn't pay. But still...maybe they had it authenticated and it was fake and that's why they didn't pay..

I'd stay away...

same picture in all listings!! STAY AWAY!!! no unique pictures = a auto no no

thats exactly what i thought. i'm the one who posted that auction in the first place,
as an example of a bad creed. for me, the creed is the first thing i look at when trying to authenticate a bag. i'm sticking with my way,
because in EVERY single fake bag i've ever seen, the creed is off.
the "o" and the stitching are always off.
i don't see any reason that a bag that is being newly made in china should have a part of the stamping off.
it would seem that a stamp that matches all authentic coaches would be sent to the factory.
i might be able to see the stitching being a bit off, since it is a new factory and all,
but definitely not the stamping on the creed. that should be 100% aligned and matching up to all other creeds.
JMHO. :shame:
