I think its a case of one seller stealing a pic from another. Since one doesn't actually have the purse, whoever wins it will receive something else so its fraudulent. That's my opinion anyway.

Thanks for your opinion on this! I had thought so but I was too late on it, I'd already bid on the 1st auction before I noticed the 2nd one with the same exact 1st photo. However, the 2nd auction shows additional photos to support the fact the 1st photo belonged to her. I'd asked the Seller of the 1st auction why her photo (she only had 1 photo on her auction) is exactly the same as someone else's and she replied "I don't know. Mine has been out there all week and that one was just listed." - which wasn't true. The 2nd auction was only a little over 2 days behind hers! I've asked her to email me additional photos of the items before I will pay for it. By not paying for a fake listing, I'm afraid I'll get my FIRST NEGATIVE on Ebay because of this!! Is there anything I can do to avoid this? :crybaby: I hate these Fraudulent Ebay Sellers!

You should report the listing you bid on to eBay so you don't have to pay. Alternatively, if you haven't yet won the item, you can retract your bid.

I did report it to Ebay today (the auction ended late last night). Unfortunately, I'd won the (1st) auction already by the time I realized that the one I won was the possibly the "fake" one. I found out that they used the same photo only within the last 15 minutes of the auction ending. I didn't know I could retract my bid under that kind of circumstance (I thought it was only if you accidentally bid like $1,000 on a $10 item or something like that). Thanks, ImASadGiraffe, now I know what I can do if I encounter this again! Well, if anything, I did learn something from this fiasco!

I'm glad that you reported it to ebay and I hope everything works out for you. If you have problems, you might want to go to the ebay board on this forum as there are lots of people there who have encountered problems like this. Good luck!

I've been looking at the authenticity tips and I realise I may have bought a fake Coach. Here's the link to the auction:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270183911098&indexURL=2&photoDisplayType=2#ebayphotohosting

Please help! If it's fake, what do I do next?

Thanks. :confused1:

If I remember right, other items from this seller have been authenticated in this forum though I'm not that good at authenticating them myself. Why do you think it may be fake?

I bought a wallet from Bluefly and just got it the other day. I can't figure out what style# it is so can't compare it for authenticity. It basically looks ok to me except on the coin side on the bottom, (pic. 1) it indents a little bit. Can anyone tell me if its authentic and what style it is? Thanks! :smile1:

there is way more to a bag than the creed. i won a "carly" that had the right creed and almost perfect stitching and a real dustbag but the bag was 100% fake. there is the lining to consider and the feel of the fabric, and the weight of the hardware. sometime, one cannot tell until you have it in hand. wallets are always tricky to me so i do not buy them unless in store and do not try to comment on them here. hope that helps.

Thank you for the information! It is so stressfull buying off ebay! :smile1:
